Virgin Galactic is seeking a highly motivated and creative learning professional to play a key role within our learning team. With a focus on practical learning and leadership development, the ideal candidate will have the ability to consult with the business and provide solutions that drive a culture of ownership, optimism, accountability and results.

Reporting to the Senior Manager of Leadership and Learning Solutions, this role will support all ongoing learning, performance and culture programs, while ensuring a consistent learning experience is delivered. They will also play a role in optimizing Virgin Galactic's learning operations to deliver a robust learning strategy for our teammates.

This role requires the ability to work independently and collaboratively across multiple functions to generate a cohesive approach and deliver outcomes to exceed internal customers' expectations.

This role reports to our Tustin CA office location and is required to work onsite 3x per week.

Additional responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:

  • Provide learning solutions consulting support to leaders and business stakeholders at Virgin Galactic.

  • Establish rapport and develop trusted partnerships as a consultant to the business employing diplomacy, objectivity, and learning sciences to propose targeted learning solutions.

  • Conduct intake processes to understand business requirements, translate business needs into learning outcomes, and develop custom learning solutions.

  • Collaborate with People Team and leaders to understand challenges to identify and address learning or performance gaps.

  • Support ongoing learning and development by developing and delivering a variety of offerings aligned with Virgin Galactic's brand and culture.

  • Create innovative learning experiences using appropriate delivery mechanisms.

  • Ensure quality standards and make recommendations for improvements where needed.

  • Analyze learner engagement and recommend enhancements to improve offerings, increase adoption rates, and achieve desired results that are aligned with company strategy and policies.

  • Apply evidence-based standards, processes, tools, and templates for ongoing program evaluation and improvement.

  • Maintain learning programs and assets, ensuring materials are current and providing updates as needed.

  • Collaborate closely with teammates, managers, and cross-functional partners to support and promote user-curated recommendations for scalable engagement in "learning in the flow of work."

  • Engage and drive learning technology innovations to recognize opportunities where the learning ecosystem can enhance and evolve the learner's access to real-time information.

  • Maintain, update and improve leader and learning resources and resource sites.

  • Collaborate with the Sr. Manager, Learning Operations and Sr. Manager, Learning Solutions to operationalize and deliver the intake process using system tools to validate business needs, track service delivery agreements, maintain forward progress on program development and project status

  • Technology Integration: Implement and utilize learning management systems and other relevant technologies to support training delivery and evaluation

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree preferred, advanced degree in I/O Psychology, Learning, or OD a plus.

  • 5 - 7 years' experience or more supervising programs and projects in learning and leadership development.

  • Prior experience defining clear business outcomes to advise and inform on sound learning solutions that demonstrate impact.

  • Experience facilitating group process and learning for instructor-led programs, blended learning, and team effectiveness workshops.

  • Experience with assessments and coaching a plus.

  • Demonstrated ability to think conceptually and creatively.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including presentation skills to a diverse audience.

  • Ability and willingness to travel.

The annual U.S. base salary range for this full-time position is $79,300.00-$121,000.00. The base pay actually offered will vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, location, and experience and take into account internal equity. Other forms of pay (e.g., bonus or long term incentive) may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and other benefits, dependent on the position offered.
