Learning Project Management & Business Process Lead

The Learning Project Management & Business Process Lead is primarily responsible for devising and designing business processes for all learning, leadership and capabilities programs, systems, tools & processes. Additionally, the role proactively generates, and compiles reports, and metrics based on findings, complete with recommended improvements to - or new requirements for - business processes and operational procedures identified during business area outreach. The person will apply proven communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills to help maximize the benefit of learning investments and to assist in implementing new systems and processes. This role will have two direct reports (Learning Project Analyst & Scrum Master) and will report into the Learning, Leadership & Capabilities Product Owner role within People Services.

What You'll Do for Us

  • Gain a deep understanding of customer experience related to learning, leadership and enterprise capabilities. Identify and fill business process gaps and generate new ideas that help enhance the end solution, improve customer experience and drive overall operational excellence.

  • Manage business process improvements, process re-engineering and process design projects to achieve business goals.

  • Identify technical/process problems and develop solutions to support business objectives and plan for seamlessly integrating new process with existing business processes.

  • Create process models, specifications, diagrams, and flow charts to provide direction to the cross functional team and to build change management and communication plans.

  • Develop budgets and timeframes for process changes in order to support company objectives.

  • Identify opportunities for business process optimization and develop business modeling standards and guidelines.

  • Research, review, and analyze the effectiveness and efficiency of existing processes and develop strategies for enhancing or further leveraging these processes.

  • Chart existing business processes in order to define current business activities for the development of procedures and models.

  • Assist in conducting research on best practices and products in the marketplace to justify recommendations and to support purchasing efforts.

  • Meet with decision makers, systems owners, and end users to define business, financial, and operations requirements and systems goals.

  • Communicate process changes, enhancements, and modifications- verbally or through written documentation- to key stakeholders and the extended organization so that issues and solutions are understood.

  • Mentors others, helping them to develop skills and capabilities in support of their professional growth. Is energized, curious and impatient to drive continuous improvement and simplification. Listens well and is not defensive to feedback. Ruthlessly focused on delivering the best end user experience and eliminates barriers with speed.

Qualification & Requirements

  • Requires a minimum of 8-10 years of relevant experience in Business Process Leadership of learning, talent or related practice.

  • B.S or B.A degree in Business Administration, Management, Project Management, Human Resources, or related field.

  • Certified Scrum Master and Certified Product Owner certifications preferred or should be obtained within first 3 months in role.

  • Deep understanding of human resource management processes and systems, with an emphasis on learning processes and systems.

  • Exposure to the following content areas: facilitation and presentation skills, learning design, leadership and enterprise capabilities, leadership transitions (new to people management, new to leading through multiple layers), adult learning, learning delivery management, development tools, team development, mentoring, coaching, consulting for needs identification, and organizational development.

  • Experience in business process leadership; driving process improvement.

  • Planning and analysis, understanding detailed work analysis, business processes, stakeholders, financial business cases, culture and business development.

  • Balancing immediate and short term needs and delivering results.

  • Risk and mitigation planning.

  • Ability to manage through ambiguity as well as lead change.

This may also include some large Government, schools and hospitality customers. This includes scope of work review, risk assessment & management, project planning, estimating, tracking, reporting and management. Facilitates communication across operational groups, and ensures compliance with the defined processes and implementation. Work requires a great deal of planning and independent discretion to ensure that Large, Complex Projects are completed in a timely manner and in CCIs best financial interests. Responsible for key decisions such as vendor selection, guidance on selecting equipment to best meet customer needs, expediting the scheduling of high profile projects to maximize immediate reoccurring revenue, determines labor needs required to staff project, etc. Cox Business Large, Complex Orders are defined as, but not limited to the following fiber technologies: Multi - Location (3+), SIP / IAD, Metro E, IP Centrex, Bulk Video, Hot Cut, Wifi - Hospitality, Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS), and IP TV. * MAJOR TASKS* * The Project Manager II will manage Large, Complex Fiber Projects, On/Off, Combination Fiber projects, and Complex Type II for designated Retail, Carrier or Enterprise in support of Cox Business customers. Plans sequencing of projects and directs employees, vendors, and third parties to accomplish projects on agreed upon timeframes. Sets and manages customer expectations and proactively identifies and mitigates project risks. * Manages projects to ensure profitability. Prepares cost analysis to maximize return on investment. Completes margin analysis on specific projects or unanticipated changes. * Services the companys business operations by negotiating installation, platform, and production solutions on companys behalf to ensure project serviceability. * Regularly exercises discretion and independent judgment to ensure project serviceability. Responsible for key decisions such as vendor selection decisions, guidance on selecting equipment to best meet customer needs, expediting the scheduling of high profile projects to maximize immediate reoccurring revenue, determines labor required to staff project, etc. * Provides project management for Cox Business service delivery process. Coordinates with Construction to build to new sites. Determines the need for site surveys and conducts as necessary. Determines if coordination is required with other carriers and coordinates as needed. Identifies proper permitting and government approvals required for project and ensures they are obtained. Evaluates the need for vendor work and equipment installation to service location; oversees vendor work and equipment installation to prepare for completion of Large, Complex Commercial Projects. * Coordinates the delivery of designated Large, Complex services with customer. Conduct on-site post installation review and installation with customer. * Analyzes communications and requests from clients, support departments, and subcontractors and determine what course of action is necessary. Updates appropriate management team and stakeholders on project status. Communicates project requirements to other departments. * Manages long range logistics and planning for multiple customer projects. Obtains feedback at critical milestones and at project completion to ensure that project efforts are meeting customer expectations for time, cost, and results. * Coordinates with vendors and POCs for building access and install dates. * Work closely with functional business divisions, vendors and customers in defining project priorities, approach, resources requirements and timing of deliverables. * Manages multiple projects concurrently.
