The Learning Management System (LMS) Manager and Curriculum Designer leads the strategy, implementation, and administration of the company learning management system, Workday Learning, to enable Team Member success throughout Loews Hotels & Co. In addition to being the primary administrator of the LMS, the role will also collaborate with the Director of Learning and Development, members of the Talent and Organizational Effectiveness COE Leadership Team, Hotel Operations and Human Resource Business Partners (HRBPs) across the enterprise to design and implement curriculum to meet the business needs of the organization.

This role is a part of the Talent and Organizational Effectiveness Center of Expertise (COE), reporting to the Director of Learning and Development. This individual works closely with the Director(s) of Training to ensure effective delivery of designed programs. The role is a virtual position, preferably located in Orlando, Nashville or New York. Travel required in the role will account for approximately 15% of the individual's time.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Drive the strategy, implementation, and administration of Workday Learning:

  • Strategic development: Collaborate to develop an LMS strategy for content management, user support, and system administration.

  • Content management: Build and maintain curricula, learning assets, evaluations, and assessments in LMS.

  • User support: Coordinate user access, generate usage reports, maintain end-user job aids, and manage user support site.

  • System tracking and assessment: Configure system settings, provide comprehensive system testing, and address system issues.

  • System enhancement: Collaborate with third-party providers, such as Workday and content partners, to evaluate new features of system upgrades and make recommendations to target system improvements.

Support strong, collaborative, and consultative partnerships with hotel operations, support center leaders, and home office leaders:

  • Needs assessment: Partner to assess long and short-term organizational learning needs, understand root cause issues, and identify ways to leverage the LMS to address needs.

  • Learning implementation: Implement learning that reflects business best practices in ways that are creative, relevant, and straightforward. Leverage a 70/20/10 model of development in new curriculum development and implementation.

  • Quality control: Ensure best-in-class standards for quality control are met when designing and implementing courses. Make recommendations on product improvements and use of new technology to improve the learner experience.

  • Facilitate learning: Assist the Director(s) of Training facilitate courses on an as needed basis to ensure successful program and content delivery.

Collaborate on assessment of learning programs and initiatives:

  • Data analytics: Work with the Talent & Analytics team to analyze data on program and initiative impacts.

  • Program assessment: Collaborate with Director of Learning and Development to identify learning assessments and other metrics to evaluate learning and development program effectiveness aligned with desired business outcomes.

  • Continuous improvement: Analyze feedback and recommend continuous improvement to learning curriculum and programs.

QUALIFICATIONS:

5+ years of professional experience in learning program development and delivery:

  • Expertise in Learning Management System strategy, implementation, and administration (preferably in Workday Learning).

  • Ability to understand an organization's learning needs and take steps to close gaps between the current and desired states.

  • Experience facilitating live and/or virtual learning programs.

  • Expertise in adult learning principles, learning and development trends (especially e-learning), and instructional design standards and methodologies. Ability to develop learning programs aligned to those principles.

  • Ability to serve as a learning innovator who can contribute creative ideas into the design and development of learning programs.

  • Strong analytic skills and the ability to gather and analyze data to tell a story.

  • Experience developing high-quality, interactive, and visually engaging presentations, participant resources, and job aids.

  • Experience developing e-learning using Articulate Storyline, Captivate, or other authoring tools.

  • Experience in measuring learning effectiveness.

  • Experience integrating brand design/visual language, technological innovation, and practical learning application.

  • Experience managing vendor relationships that specialize in learning and design services.

Demonstrable experience managing consultative relationships with stakeholders, customers, and leaders:

  • Ability to influence, think strategically, and drive collaborative results.

  • Experience serving as a business advisor who listens, determines unique requirements across a wide range of business units and brings a clear point of view to interactions with customers.

  • Exceptional customer service skills including analytical, diagnostic, and problem-solving competencies.

Proven ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team:

  • High level of integrity and dependability with a strong sense of urgency and results orientation.

  • Experience teaming in a virtual environment.

  • Reputation for self-motivation, strong work ethic, and proven time management and project management skills.

REQUIRED EDUCATION AND BACKGROUND:

  • Bachelor's degree

  • Experience in learning and development, preferably in the hospitality industry
