  • Demonstrate and utilize effective needs analysis, project management, course development, and evaluation skills.

  • Design, develop and deliver high quality cutting-edge learning programs with minimal supervision.

  • Utilize adult learning principles and select methodology specific to content delivery and target audience.

  • Utilize multimedia technology and e-learning development tools.

  • Collaborate in the development, coordination, and facilitation of New Employee Orientation. Continuously revise program content as needed based on regulatory requirements and organizational business needs.

  • Support continuous learning by keeping current in educational trends, relevant literature, system goals, business strategies and regulatory standards. Integrate findings into existing or new classes that support increased organizational success.

  • Work collaboratively with team members and McLeod leaders to respond creatively to a rapidly changing environment.

  • Demonstrate familiarity with Instructional Design, Courseware Development principles, and Learning Management Systems.

  • Analyze training results and provide recommendations for improved outcomes.

  • Learn new technology to improve training programs and course offerings.

  • Research, select, and modify existing training curriculum, content, materials, job aids, etc. to meet learning needs.

Required Skills

Preferred Qualifications/Education

  • Bachelor's degree required

  • Master's degree in Instructional Design or a related field preferred

Licenses and/or Certifications:

  • CPLP (Certified Professional in Learning and Performance) preferred

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Preferred experience with designing training for multiple delivery modalities (traditional classroom, online classroom and e-learning modules)
  • Healthcare experience preferred

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to lift up to 15 pounds and carry up to 15 pounds occasionally, will involve some stooping, kneeling, crawling,pushing and pulling with frequent standing and walking.

VIEW JOBS 8/16/2020 12:00:00 AM 2020-11-14T00:00 * Maintains a professional image and exhibits excellent customer relations to patients, visitors, physicians, and co-workers in accordance with our Service Excellence Standards and Core Values. * Collaborates with other Nurse Educators to ensure high quality, evidence programs are being implemented. * Facilitates licensed and unlicensed Nursing Orientation, providing an appropriate learning environment for new hires. * Serves as a primary resource for new graduates and transfers for clinical competency. * Documents competencies for new hires and transfers attending Nursing Orientation in the McLeod Health LMS. * Collaborates with Talent Management to schedule orientation and Skills Validation for new hires, contract staff and transfer employees. * Conducts Skills Validations for experience Registered Nurses prior to hire date. * Creates and completes classes, including attendance, in the McLeod Health LMS. * Participates in Performance Improvement initiatives in the department. * Participates with the McLeod Health Training Center for BLS, ACLS and PALS certifications; instructing classes, mentoring other instructors, serving as a resource for students. * Provides and maintains a safe work environment. * Facilitate clinical classes for novice and experienced clinical staff, including, but not limited to, Registered Nurses, Medical Surgical Technicians, Sitters, and Secretaries. * Must be proficient in Microsoft Office products, including Word, Publisher, PowerPoint and Excel. * Collaborates with various departments and committees to promote high quality, evidence-based patient care.
