Summary:

This is a new role in our growing company. The L & D manager will work with management teams and L & D Coordinators to identify and assess training needs and gaps for US Organization. This role will help implement learning/training strategies and programs, helping with content design, program delivery, career paths STEP program, performance management and on the job training. They will help identify, develop, implement and evaluate key learning and development initiatives across multiple manufacturing sites and offices using various learning platforms to be determined. Takes part in conducting training programs and assists with the development of training materials, including manuals and job aids. The ideal candidate will be able to partner with the Management, HR Leadership and other HR team members to build a world class Learning and Organization Development team that offers custom and off the shelf learning and development solutions.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Administers, organizes and conducts structured learning experiences in connection with management and designated trainers and supervisors so consistent materials and methods are applied across the organization

  • Develops, monitors and maintains company training program, to include operator learning guides and lessons

  • Manage and oversee the development & implementation of course training materials to reflect current operating processes and procedures to include operator training modules, existing and new-hire certification, and the Career Progression Program

  • Trains and coaches managers, supervisors and others involved in employee development efforts

  • Supports and continues the ongoing STEP learning initiatives and programs working with HR leadership

  • Create reports and updates for tracking and audits.

  • Maintain skills matrix and training records

  • Continually follows up with team members, supervisors and managers to ensure the effectiveness of training programs. Makes modifications to align retraining with developing needs

  • Act as a critical member of the HR team and have the opportunity to shape and impact the experience of hourly to C-Suite level employees

  • Serve as a strong and resourceful leader; be able to craft creative solutions with changing business needs and resources

  • Conduct regular and recurring needs analysis for all functions of the business and create a L&D framework that will address critical needs

  • Develop an ongoing learning and development schedule of all programs including mandatory, obligatory, corrective and developmental to comply with state, federal and local regulations

  • Deliver a strong service focus and background: drive the implementation and maintenance of a strong culture of exceptional service

  • Exemplifies the desired culture and philosophies of the organization.

  • Continuously grow the L & D offering to ensure a world class experience for all employees

Qualifications:

General:

  • 5+ years' experience in training and development required within the manufacturing environment, including experience in implementing large scale program and systems across multiple site locations

  • Bilingual in Spanish is preferred but not required

  • Extremely knowledgeable in manufacturing SOP's

  • Intermediate to advanced PC Skills including all Microsoft Office products

  • Well versed in training best practices and success factors

  • Must be able to travel up to 30% - both domestically and internationally

Education and/or Experience

  • Bachelors degree in Training & Development or related field

  • Flexible hours and overtime may be required as needed. Schedule to be set.

  • Ability to solve problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where standardization generally exist.

Computer Skills:

Job Details GENERAL SUMMARY: This position exists primarily for the purpose of developing internal store manager bench from the assistant store manager population, although external candidates will also be in the program. It is a position to be used to give store manager candidates more experience prior to becoming a store manager, and is to be held for a specified period.
