The Learning Content Developer collaborates with the Architect, Learning Designer and client facing learning professionals to develop engaging, efficient and effective Learning Experiences based on Blueprint and detailed designs to meet stated business outcomes.

Responsibilities include:

  • Partners with subject matter experts (SMEs) and learners applying learner centric experience design methods (Agile, Design thinking, focus groups, UX research) to curate and/or develop content to develop learning assets identified in the blueprint and learning solution design.

  • Develops learning solutions based on deep understanding of enterprise and business unit internal trends, learners, organizational culture, personas, mindset and skills, and internal limits including: change tolerance, leader availability, learner attention/absorption, incentives, information, tools/resources.

  • Leverages data driven insights to inform design and development. Recommends appropriate solutions and delivery methods to optimize skill development and behavior changes identified,

  • Develops effective assessment and measurement for learning experiences/solutions.

  • Researches learning industry trends, methodologies, and best practices and integrates those into professional practice including learning technologies that can increase effectiveness and efficiency.

  • Adheres to GLD Learning Model principles and standards, guidelines and leverages templates, tools and taxonomies.

Qualifications, Skills & Experience

Required:

  • Bachelor's degree in Instructional systems, learning technologies or other related discipline

  • 6+ years of related experience (4+ with Master's degree), with minimum 3 years of experience developing learning solutions (e.g., videos, editing podcasts, e-learning, instructor led courses, assessments, etc.);

  • Experience developing multiple learning solution projects and/or programs at once; experience in current and emerging content authoring and development tools and (e.g., Evolve, Articulate 360, Adobe Captivate, Vyond, HTML 5, etc.); e-learning standards and LMS courseware integration with AICC and SCORM

  • Ability to leverage innovative digital learning technologies and scalable user interfaces for web and mobile learning experiences

  • Ability to co-create, collaborate and build trusted partnerships with team and business stakeholders

  • Leverage data driven insights to drive decisions

  • Agility, flexibility, working in a fast-paced iterative environment

  • Excellent communication skills, interpersonal skills, analytical/problem solving skills, cross-functional leadership skills

  • Maintains a strong balance between technology and business acumen with a deep desire to deliver business value to the organization

  • Ability to meet deadlines while managing multiple projects simultaneously and independently

  • Developing blended learning solutions leveraging different learning modalities (e.g. social learning platforms, virtual training, e-learning, classroom training etc.);

Preferred:

  • Master's Degree or certification in Instructional Design, education, training, or related field of study

  • UX design experience for software, web applications which leverage emergent technologies, consumer electronics, and / or mobile devices

  • Experience with Graphic Design tools, motion graphic animation, 3D animation, AR/VR tools

  • Strong conceptualization ability, strong visual communication ability, storyboarding

  • Ability to create wireframes as well as visual design comps

  • Understanding of common software project management and development practices

  • Experience with video and sound editing and/or Cinematography
