Position Summary:

The Project Manager of Learning and Organizational Development will work across the company to drive or otherwise support organizational initiatives such as succession planning, talent development, performance management, leadership development, and mentoring programs, at division and segment levels. Since these projects typically span multiple functional groups or divisions within the organization, this role requires excellent communication and problem-solving skills. The ideal candidate will be highly organized, possess a strong attention to detail and the ability to adapt quickly to changing circumstances. Excellent judgment and interpersonal skills with proven ability for effective cross-organizational communication are highly desired attributes.

Essential duties and responsibilities:

  • Supports the OD team in talent management processes such as talent review and assessment, talent development, program evaluation, staff development, leader development, and employee engagement.

  • Leads and manages projects as assigned.

  • Delivers training programs, as needed.

  • Proactively identifies dependencies and issues and facilitates resolution.

  • Communicates project progress, changes, and risks. Creates status reports as needed.

  • Interfaces with a wide range of people from individual contributor to executive levels in all areas affected by a project.

  • Builds and maintains strong working relationships with team members and project stakeholders.

  • Builds relationships with HR business partners and client groups to ensure alignment, effectiveness and close connection to business needs.

  • Communicates effectively and efficiently across multiple channels with variety of individuals and teams both verbally and in writing.

  • Multi-tasks, prioritizes, and remains organized in a fast paced and constantly changing work environment.

  • Customizes/adjusts style and method of communication, leadership, and/or coaching to the needs of audience.

  • Works effectively both independently and with a team with limited direction and/or support.

  • Acts with integrity and maintains a high level of confidentiality.

  • Cultivates and maintains relationships with external vendors and consultants as needed.

  • Performs other related duties and responsibilities as assigned or required.

Educational and Skills Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree with focus on Organizational Development, Human Resources, Education, Instructional Design, Organizational Behavior or Industrial/Organizational Psychology.

  • 3-5 years of experience in related field.

  • Experience preferred with Learning Management Systems (LMS), publishing eLearning outcomes utilizing an authoring tool.

  • Experienced in facilitating team meetings, focus groups, work processes, project meetings and diagnosing and developing solutions.

  • Good business acumen and understanding of organizational issues and challenges.

  • Strong client-service and results orientation.

  • Experience in design of new hire training, employee development and leadership development programs.

  • Effective presentation and training skills.

  • Influential, energetic and enthusiastic business leader, with the drive, ambition and resilience to make things happen and deliver outstanding performance.

  • Knowledge of adult learning theory principles and design of training programs.

  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written. Strong presentation skills with demonstrated ability to connect with and engage audiences.

  • Certifications preferred in leadership development content, such as DDI, VitalSmarts, Franklin Covey, Korn Ferry.

Experience in lieu of a degree will be considered.

This position may be filled at a higher grade based on the successful applicant's skills, education and experience.

Due to the nature of our work qualified candidates must be able to obtain and maintain a DoD security clearance.

In this role, you'll have the opportunity to empower our frontline by helping them provide best in class service through three simple principles: "Build a Relationship, Make it Easy, and Think Ahead" You are an excellent communicator, presenter, and teacher who will measure learner performance, the quality and effectiveness of training, and apply appropriate learning tools to maximize the learning experience. You will maintain proficient knowledge in at least two production departments within Operations; maintain and apply learning tools (methods, checklists and skill building agreements) to encourage team member development. What you'll do: * Deliver engaging, interactive training to adult learners. This may include everything from new hire training programs, to that of professional development or leadership. * Lead live and virtual classroom instruction to LendingClub team members in Operations, without always being the subject matter expert yourself. * Partner with and rely upon coaches and subject matter experts to relay best practices and tribal knowledge utilized in the Operations community. * Participate in LendingClub Ops L&D training certification program and certify by way of classroom observation according to standards set by L&D leadership, twice each year. * Lead new hire training programs for periods of 6 weeks at least 6-8 times during a calendar year; responsible for the overall on-boarding experience for the new hires. * Manage leadership tasks for new team members, such as managing new hire time, performance coaching / management, 1:1 feedback during class and monitoring performance during the learning cycle. * In addition to providing leadership expertise, the facilitator is also responsible for managing the new hires' adherence to schedule, breaks, etc. * Ensure all change management communication is covered with team members during their participation in a training program. * Facilitators will track, and document performance according required metrics, as well as have corresponding performance management conversations as required. * Prepare for training sessions by ensuring that materials have been prepared and logistical information has been communicated according to required training playbooks. * Work closely with instructional designers and technical writers on the creation of training curriculum and documentation. * Partner with the Learning Analyst to collate data on their new hire with regard to attrition numbers, tardy occurrences, OJT(on the job) performance, etc. and assist in the building and reporting of learning performance data to stakeholders. * Use metrics as benchmarks and offer evidence of the effectiveness of the training and organizational change. * Measure post training performance gaps to identify opportunities for continuous improvement with an emphasis on achieving performance results. * Learn Quality Assurance (QA) standards required by LendingClub, and take steps toward calibration with the QA team, to provide QA feedback to learners during OJT portions of training. * Up to 50% travel required.
