The Learning and Development Specialist is responsible for managing the development and delivery of quality learning for new hires and existing employees in a job-specific area of expertise. This role provides consulting services for senior leadership related to new hire onboarding and development training for existing employees and plays a lead role for job-specific initiatives and strategic projects within Pulte Financial Services.
The scope of the learning materials will range from process-specific to general industry overviews. Curriculum includes New Hire Orientation, Mortgage Banking One (MB1), systems and applications (Empower, iPath, Mortgage Underwriter, OneView, ELF, etc.), Internet/Intranet, Customer Service, Mentor Program Development and any additional projects and/or programs as assigned. Ensures activities undertaken in performing the responsibilities of this position are in compliance with all state and regulatory requirements. This role also provides change management expertise to the business, and mentoring/training to Learning and Development Specialists.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Owns and develops job-specific curriculum and authors training and classroom material programs for new hire, MB1, business systems and applications, Internet/Intranet, Customer Service, Mentoring Programs and any additional projects and/or programs as assigned. Must be able to prioritize, schedule, and meet deadlines. Must stay up to date on system enhances and process changes.
Provides consulting to senior leadership and HR regarding performance and training needs for new hire and existing employees. Conducts needs assessments, identifies solutions, and designs training strategies for individual projects.
Develops and implements measurement and evaluation strategies. Manages Learning and Development projects from start to finish and directs L&D team members.
Delivers training for new hire, MB1(mortgage banking class), business systems and applications, Internet/Intranet, Customer Service, Mentor Program Development and any additional projects and/or programs as assigned.
Communicates in a clear and concise manner in the performance of job functions; handles complex situations. Has exemplary facilitation and classroom management skills. Provides recommendations on process changes and enhancements, balancing benefits with effort and impacts to users, processes, and technology initiatives
Manages job-specific curriculum development, maintenance, delivery and evaluation. Consults with senior leadership to provide solutions for new hire and existing employee development. Uses extensive knowledge of the mortgage industry and Pulte processes and systems to partner with business leaders and advocate for solutions that impact performance metrics.
High School or Equivalent
College degree or business experience equivalent preferred
5-7+ years of experience in training in a corporate environment.
Mortgage experinece is highly desirable
Demonstrated ability to consult, manage and lead teams through process changes, curriculum development and maintenance of training materials -- must be proficient in MS Office applications
College degree or business experience equivalent, with knowledge of adult learning principles
Demonstrable training skills and experience; training remote employees a plus
Ability to facilitate small and large group quality learning experiences
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to structure messaging for a wide range of stakeholders
Salary Range: $70,000 - $80,000 annually depending on experience. This position is also eligible for an annual bonus based on the successful completion of defined performance objectives.
