The Learning and Development (L&D) program manager is responsible for leading the strategy and execution of the Associates, Emerging Leader, and Internship programs at Optiv. The incumbent will coordinate the development and delivery of technical and non-technical/soft skills training curriculums and focus on building a talent development agenda for early career employees to build services delivery capability, strengthen the talent pipeline, and enhance employee engagement through high quality talent development offerings.

The L&D Program Manager will work closely with the Services leadership, select universities, military transition agencies, and technology partners to design, implement, and manage training and talent development strategies and programs to meet identified organizational capability needs.

Responsibilities:

  • Develops, drives, and implements strategic talent development programs/initiatives aligned with organizational capability needs. Ideation, design, and execution of experiential education programs and special projects.

  • Stakeholder management at all levels of the organization and across all departments. Collaborate with human resources business partners, talent acquisition partners, managers, supervisors, and others to gain knowledge of work areas and topics to create a curriculum architecture and program delivery methodology for talent development initiatives.

  • Develops and implements enterprise learning maps that link development needs to curriculum offerings.

  • Provides strategic consultation and thought leadership to senior management and key business stakeholders around talent development.

  • Manage employee development and build milestones and building blocks to connect with career pathways.

  • Leads the analysis of all current and future talent development programs including evaluating the most effective and cost-efficient ways to deliver relevant training to associate level employees throughout the organization.

  • Design, develop, deliver and evaluate integrated performance-based learning solutions, following adult learning methodologies, which encourage an interactive, engaging, and thought-provoking learning environment.

  • Establishes, implements, and monitors the effectiveness of talent development programs/initiatives (e.g. return-on-investment, employee engagement, etc.) to provide senior leadership with quantifiable gauges of results and impact of talent development strategies and programs.

  • Participates in other projects/initiatives/opportunities/committees as assigned.

Knowledge Skills and Abilities:

  • Project Management expertise specifically demonstrated success managing multiple clients and disparate initiatives on a long term-basis.

  • Strong public speaking skills with the ability to engage learners throughout trainings and learning opportunities.

  • Strong planning, organization, and time management skills with the ability to manage changing priorities, handle multiple projects, meet deadlines, and adapt to a changing business environment.

  • Familiarity with Project Management methodologies, best practices, and toolsets required.

  • Adept in planning, leading change management, working in a fast-paced environment, and multi-tasking skills required.

  • Ability to effectively communicate with all levels of management and employees.

  • Ability to design, develop and deliver functional skills training aligned with business goals and initiatives to drive results in a performance-based learning culture.

  • Ability to recognize performance improvement opportunities and gaps and clearly identify and articulate options and tools available to help drive desired behavior.

  • Knowledge of learning evaluation models to measure the performance and effectiveness of learning interventions.

  • Experience delivering technical and/or business training following adult learning methodologies, which encourage an interactive, engaging, and thought-provoking learning environment.

  • Experience with multigenerational work environments and delivery of multi-generational content preferred.

  • Management of security-related projects strongly desired.

Requirements:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Business, Project Management, Human Resources, or Education. Masters in OD or related area a plus.

  • 3+ years of professional classroom facilitation experience in corporate training environment.

  • 5+ years of demonstrated success in utilizing various adult learning systems including but not limited to, seminars, workshops, one-on-one coaching, train the trainer, web-based and podcasts.

  • Minimum of 3 years of design experience, including the ability to specify learning objectives and develop instructionally sound learning deliverables as well as to design and implement interactive e-learning programs and training virtual audiences.

  • Ability to travel as needed. Peak times may be 30 - 40% (post-covid).

Yearly Base Salary: $63,000 - $82,000

Incentive Compensation Target: 5-10% of base salary

Underwriters evaluate the risk of insuring a potential Cigna customer and use that information to set premium rates for insurance policies. As part of our Underwriting team, you will directly impact our business on a daily basis, protecting Cigna's sound financial position which enables us to meet our financial commitments to our customers. RULDP associates begin to shape their career path through their professional experiences with program support and discussions with direct managers, mentors, RULDP peers, trainers, individual career development program managers. RULDP offers structured technical training (ULTRA - Underwriting Leadership Training & Risk Assessment) and non-technical training (competency based workshops), networking opportunities, formal mentoring, and exposure to a breadth of underwriting roles across multiple product lines. The duration of the program is 4-5 years, offering two 24 month rotations. In addition to rotations you will insight into other roles within the Risk Management & Underwriting organization through formalized job shadows and project work. Throughout the program you will challenged to develop the skills and competencies necessary to become a successful Underwriter. RULDP is an extensive learning opportunity that guides your experience through the early stages of your Risk Management & Underwriting career. The program include a mixture of instructor-led classroom training, self-study, and on-the-job experiences. Underwriting Rotation Opportunities include, but are not limited to: * CHC (Cigna Healthcare) * Pharmacy * Stop Loss * Dental * Behavioral Health * Supplemental Benefits What you'll do: The program will begin with approximately six to eight weeks of classroom training and three to six months of on-the-job training and experience. This initial technical training portion of the program is called ULTRA. ULTRA provides thorough education on Cigna products and services, insurance basics and risk dynamics, underwriting and risk selection, results oriented book of business management, negotiation skills, systems and tools, and contract language and terms. The knowledge and skills that the program provides will set you up to be a successful Underwriter at Cigna. Career Path: Upon completion of your technical training (ULTRA), you will be part of a team responsible for determining the appropriate premium rate level and plan design structure of individual cases, analyzing total case profitability, and conducting customer negotiations with Sales and Account Management on their book of business. You will also have the opportunity to build successful, productive relationships with matrix partners within Cigna, while receiving continuous career development training and mentoring throughout your program experience.
