To continue our success we need to ensure our employees advance their skills and reach their potential. Working as part of the Global Talent Team, you'll contribute to the design, development and delivery of Global Talent Development activities at OUP. This will involve providing L&D expertise to support the delivery of the one-OUP learning strategy and driving the adoption of global learning programs in your region.

Drawing on your natural coaching style, you will work closely with key stakeholders as an internal consultant, understanding key capability gaps and defining learning objectives relevant to business need, ensuring solutions are legally compliant and culturally sensitive.

Key responsibilities:

  • Provide input into the talent development agenda and ensure regional needs are fed in to the global strategy

  • Design, deliver and embed relevant development initiatives, coordinating the delivery of global programs in the region

  • Design learning products and solutions, developing online learning solutions and contributing to the in-house creation of digital learning products using e-learning software

  • Facilitate webinars, online workshops and face to face learning modules

  • Partner with HR Business Partners in the region to embed OUP's performance and development framework

About You

Delivery focused with a passion to help drive the development strategy forward, you'll also have:

  • Experience of working within an L&D environment

  • Knowledge of learning theory, technologies, psychology of learning and will have embedded solutions using the 70:20:10 methodology

  • Excellent stakeholder management skills in a matrix environment

  • Excellent analytical, prioritization and problem solving skills

  • Experience of facilitating face to face and online learning across all levels of cohort

  • The ability to create online learning solutions and digital learning products

  • Experience of e-learning content creation software and using an LMS

  • An understanding of quantitative and qualitative learning evaluation methods

  • Project management skills

  • Desire to travel (domestic and international)

Accreditation and licenses for coaching and use of personality, preference or 360 tools is advantageous.

A Verizon Smart Community Consulting Partner is someone that does not simply see the problems of today, but rather the challenges of tomorrow and the impact these challenges will have on cities, municipality, society, and the world. They see how technology two to five years from now will change the way cities and people connect and engage with each other and critical services such as transportation, utilities, law enforcement, healthcare, and education. You will work with customers to find ways to leverage technology to spawn innovation through: New Strategic Partnerships, Big Data, Analytics, and Artificial Intelligence. You must demonstrate this expertise through individual actions as well as an ability to collaborate with and lead cross-functional teams. Together with the Verizon's Business Development team, the Smart Community Consulting Partner will develop a holistic view of the customer's environment. You will work to develop a strategy that takes into consideration the customer's existing technology assets, processes, resources, and funding. You will foster "smart" innovation through a consultative approach that maps a cities challenges and priorities to technology solutions. These technology solutions will focus on, but are not limited to: Energy Conservation, Environment Monitoring, Public Safety, Pedestrian Safety, Traffic Management, ETC. * Review and analyze current technology infrastructure and its ability to support strategic objectives. * Identify and propose specific strategies, initiatives and remedies necessary to align smart community technology and infrastructure with corporate objectives. * Translate client business issues/opportunities into technical solution/business requirements. * Collaborate with Verizon Public Policy teams to ensure Verizon solutions are compliant with Verizon standards. * Partner with the bid management organization to build out detailed RFP responses and contract development. * Participate as a member of the Senior Leadership Team in the Client facing Governance Program. What we're looking for... You'll need to have: * Bachelor's degree or four or more years of work experience. * Six or more years of relevant work experience. * Six or more years in development and implementation of Public Sector IT solutions * Six or more years in architecture experience in conceptualization, definition and development of IT-based products, services and solutions. * Project management experience with accountability for end to end delivery. * Experience in customer facing positions (sales, sales engineering, consulting, etc.) * Valid driver's license. Even better if you have: * Masters in engineering, computer science or business administration. * Presentation experience. * Ability to present Technical knowledge to CXOs, Sr. Public Officials, and Executive Leadership. * Experience with public and private funding models. * Financial analysis experience (ROI, cost analysis, business case development, etc.) * Public/Private Sector experience, ideally with fortune 100 customers and all government agencies- federal, state and local. * Willingness to travel.
