Overview:

Alvarez & Marsal is looking for a Learning and Development Business Partner located in either our New York or Tampa office and reports to the Learning & Development Director, who is located in Tampa. This role will be responsible for working with the corporate L&D team, imbedded business learning and development professionals, and our regional HR leaders in US, Europe, Asia, Brazil and India to build out a core curriculum that meets business needs.

Essential Job Functions:

  • Partners with the business leaders and subject matter experts to align effective and practical learning solutions that enable employees quickly and efficiently.

  • Identifies business needs across multiple core domains including leadership, professional skills, and technical skills.

  • Design, develop and deliver content for a variety of business lines with very different learning and development needs.

  • Partner with external vendors to ensure content and courses align with business need, including delivery methodology.

  • Ability to facilitate learning design and training delivery via multiple vehicles, including instructor-led training, executive-led learning, self-study, blended learning, and e-learning.

  • Work with key stakeholders to implement the global L&D goals and plan in a lean organization.

  • Reinforce A&Ms core values through content design and development.

  • Evaluate the effectiveness of core learning and development solutions, tracking participation/engagement, and proactively adjusting where needed.

  • Participate in socialization, communication and roll-out of common core curriculum.

  • Further enhance the company's performance management strategy aligned with our core values.

  • Relationship Building: Develop strong relationships with key stakeholders to assure that L&D programs are aligned with specific business priorities and outcomes. This includes global business leaders as well as HR partners and employees.

  • Critical Thinking: ability to determine the importance and relevance of comments and perspectives, identify inconsistencies and errors in reasoning, and prioritize accordingly.

  • Technical Expertise: Design innovative solutions. Design and deliver strategy for these programs and execute against plan. Understand rapid development processes and an iterative model.

  • Global Mindset: ability to view potential solutions through a global lens, allowing strong decision making that takes all regions into view.

  • Facilitation: Be an experienced and dynamic facilitator, comfortable working with all levels of managers / leaders.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree with a minimum of five years of experience in learning with proven management experience.

  • Experience with management and leadership development e.g. knowledge of core learning theories, frameworks, assessments etc.

  • Full-cycle Delivery: Proven ability in developing learning, evaluation methodologies, conducting needs analysis, designing & developing learning programs, and facilitating experiential learning programs.

  • Knowledge and curiosity in the most current thinking in the fields of organizational psychology, leadership development and organizational development.

  • Work collaboratively with all practice areas to execute on strategy initiatives.

  • Ability to build relationships and partnerships across the organization.

  • Ability to track and report metrics across the learning organization.

  • Proven ability to navigate a very complex organization with many key stakeholders.

  • Strong written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills to include: demonstrated ability to communicate complex issues succinctly; create and conduct effective presentations; experience building strong client relationships while exercising influence to achieve desired results.

  • Some travel required (15%).
