This position contributes to our mission by:

Plans basic Lean Sigma projects, including budgets;

  • Leads Lean Sigma projects that will produce significant cost savings;
  • Ensures projects are on schedule and customer expectations are meet;
  • Contributes to the development and Implementation of lean sigma deployment plan;
  • Fosters the Lean Sigma culture within the organization;
  • Designs, develops, implements and evaluates internal Lean Sigma Green Belt

Education and Experience

  • Requires a Bachelor's degree in Engineering and 1 year experience in manufacturing processes. Requires formal Lean Manufacturing and Six-Sigma methods training. Prefer 2 or more years of Lean Sigma experience.

The Records Analyst II works under limited supervision, performs and coordinates the department records and information management function; utilizing advanced records management knowledge in matters related to active and inactive records. This position creates and maintains computerized records and electronic tracking systems, and assists in the development and implementation office procedures for these systems. The Records Analyst II is required to provide excellent customer service, resolve problems in a timely manner, communicate effectively, and be a positive contributor to the Denton County Technology Services Team. Examples of Duties Utilizes specialized records management knowledge to provide policy, procedural, and technical advice to Denton County departments on complex records management issues. Mentors, advises, reviews work product and handles escalations from the Analyst I. Performs records analysis to monitor and determine proper storage and disposition of records according to approved retention schedules and to ensure compliance with all applicable Federal, State and Local regulations. Reviews complex records retention policies and schedules in consultation with county departments regarding the transfer of active records to inactive or archival storage, for reducing paper records to micrographic form, or for destroying obsolete or unnecessary records. Leads inventories and performs analysis of county departmental records to determine recordkeeping requirements for physical and digital records. Develops records control schedules based on departmental recordkeeping requirements. Responds to inquiries from county departments and the public and conducts research to fulfill complex records requests submitted electronically and in person in accordance with the Denton County Records Management Program Resolution. Evaluates image quality and suitability of digital documents and microfilm in accordance with applicable standards and regulations. Coordinates special projects (Records Center Audit, Disaster Recovery). Operates and manages the physical records management system, digital records repository, and equipment for the preservation and storage of records. Examines and evaluates records-management systems to improve existing methods for efficient handling, protection, and disposition of records and information. Tracks daily workload measures and project progress, and provides reports to management. Maintains the Records Center to ensure the proper care and storage of local government records of permanent value in accordance with industry standards and Texas Local Government Code. Prepares documents for imaging, operates electronic scanning equipment, and converts scanned material to digital format. Regular and punctual attendance is required. Perform other related duties as required. Minimum Qualifications High School Diploma or GED and a minimum four years of experience in a related field; or an equivalent combination of education and related experience required. Bachelor's degree in Records Management, Library and Information Sciences Public Administration, Business Administration, or a directly related field preferred. Certified Records Information Manager (RIM), Certified Records Manager (CRM), and/or Local Government Archives and Records Administration (LGARA) Certificate preferred. Must be a U.S. citizen. Must not have any Class B misdemeanor or higher convictions or deferred adjudications. Possession of a valid driver's license. Must be able to obtain a State of Texas driver's license within 90 days of employment.
