The Lean Leader will demonstrate leadership in communicating business goals, programs, and processes for an area or business segment. In this role, you will utilize your experience and/or expertise to solve problems, develop and execute objectives for self and others, and effect short-term and some long-term business goals.
As the Lean Leader, you will:
Act as a change agent in the implementation of demand flow technology utilizing state of the art tools and methodologies
Establish and implement team strategies, programs, and practices to achieve world class manufacturing inventory turns and process flow
Lead multiple demand flow technology teams and drive best practices in process design and implementation
Advise and counsel leaders on issues impacting inventory and work in process flow
Create the lean vision and implement the lean strategy to reduce inventory, lead-time and waste at the manufacturing facility
Drive measurable improvements in productivity and product flow
Lead action workouts
Develop pull systems, train personnel and other activities to achieve a world-class lean process flow
Develop value stream maps for the product lines and eliminate process waste through the implementation of lean techniques across the product lines
Promote lean Six Sigma integration utilizing strength of both methods to achieve business goals
Lead manufacturing and service center team in establishing product flow for plant value streams utilizing visual management tools
Encourage use of lean tools to pull material from suppliers, through component plants, and into assembly
Bachelor's Degree from and accredited university or college
Minimum of 3 years of lean experience working with demand flow technology, make-to-order concepts, just-in-time, and pull production environments
Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or Business from an accredited university or college
Demonstrated ability to motivate others and achieve results
Demonstrated solid performance, leadership and experience in lean
Strong team orientation
Strong problem solving abilities
Six Sigma training or equivalent quality training
Operation Management Leadership Program (OMLP) graduate or equivalent leadership / development program
Knowledge of value stream mapping, one-piece flow, action workouts, kaizen, 5s, and other lean tools
Strong analytical and problem solving skills
Ability to motivate teams and lead change at all levels of the organization
Strong facilitation and presentation skills
Strong oral and written communication skills
Strong interpersonal and leadership skills
