JOB DESCRIPTION:

Position Summary:

This position is responsible to lead and support the North American system Business Process Organization in the area of quality, networking and standardization. Responsible for developing, integrating, and implementing a global end-to-end process system in conjunction with the global Quality Management Systems and IT S4Hana teams, including flow down to the North American locations. The role also supports the areas of management systems and quality standards compliance through coordination of organization risk mitigation, leadership and management engagement, audits /assessments and resulting actions to drive improvements.

Essential Functions:

  • Support and representation of the region in conjunction with the global Business Process Owner (BPO) quality in the planning, organization, communication, integration and coordination of the QM module team

  • Drive process and system standardization/ harmonization wherever feasible and beneficial in the region

  • Support in the development, commissioning and management of the implementation and harmonization of globally defined processes

  • Build and coordinate a community of local Key Users.

  • Supervision of the regional key user organization and support in your tasks

  • Supports the global Business Process owners (BPO) and serves as the interface with other regional and local key users.

  • Collect local requirements, filter and forward those to the global BPO for decision and initiation of developments

  • Responsible to drive adoption of best practices, alignment of QM standards and coordination of process management activities across all functions within the region.

  • Ensuring compliance with the SAP QM template and project standards within the North American organization

  • Identification and definition of regional and local SAP-specific QM process variants and their coordination based on the global strategy and vision

  • Lead and motivate teams and stakeholders to drive systems and process changes / improvements across the entire Bendix business organization. Facilitation and leadership of task teams to engage all locations and functions as needed.

  • Responsibility for change management and key user training

  • Support the development, commissioning, and implementation of global quality management system harmonization in new locations.

  • Ensure appropriate governance systems and monitoring of key performance indicators and metrics pertaining to the global and local management systems.

  • Support regional and local management system conformity with standards like IATF16949, VDA, ASPICE, Cyber Security, Functional Safety and others as required.

  • Support internal and external audit programs and related activities.

  • Communicate, monitor, and facilitate Bendix management system related corrective action activities.

  • For complex issues, provide leadership in developing and implementing corrective actions. and special project teams.

  • Lead teams and stakeholders in identifying potential risks and mitigation actions. Evaluate potential interactions with other processes and systems.

  • Develop effective working relationships to gain matrix resources to support initiatives. Positively influence at all levels, inside and outside the organization. Clearly communicate project status, risks, and scope creep to stakeholders on a regular basis.

Knowledge:

  • Extensive knowledge with respect to how all functions/systems interact from the highest level down to the shop floor execution within business

  • Experience in management system and process development, maintenance, and training

  • Change management experience in a multi-cultural corporate environment.

  • Knowledge of organizational change and learning theory; Extensive knowledge of how to facilitate/lead change.

  • Knowledge of SAP-QM (preferably S4/HANA)

  • Intercultural cooperation (America, Asia, Europe) is required

  • Solution oriented approach to problems and conflict moderation skills

  • Strong communication and teamwork skills, solution-oriented way of working and high analytical skills

  • Confident handling of MS Office

  • Fluent in English

  • Working knowledge of standards: IATF16949, VDA6.3, VDA2, VDA Field Failure Analysis, Automotive Core Tools, Six Sigma methodologies

  • Extensive knowledge of Process Management, including all aspects of certification and compliance to ISO9001/IATF16949

  • Knowledge of effective internal audit programs and methodologies.

  • Working knowledge with respect to problem solving

  • Extensive knowledge of business systems in both a manufacturing and central function climate

Experience:

  • Minimum 8 years' experience in the field of Quality Management

  • Minimum 5-7 years' experience leading or as an active participant with ISO9001 / IATF16949 certification and compliance.

  • In depth experience in ISO 9001 IATF16949; Internal auditing experience is required; auditing within the automotive industry is preferred.

  • Minimum of 5-7 years' experience leading change/continuous improvement in manufacturing and central function environments is required.

  • Experience in Agile methodologies, project management and PM tools (Miro, Teams, Microsoft Project, etc.)

  • Prior experience with global and multi-facility collaboration is required.

  • Prior experience with Advanced Quality Planning is preferred.

  • Prior experience with leading organizational change is preferred.

  • Must be capable of assisting all manufacturing locations with Process Management systems.

  • Good basic negotiation skills when working with internal and external parties

  • High level of integrity, energy, enthusiasm, and optimism, as well as a sense of urgency, passion for excellence and a strong desire to shape the future.

  • Capable of working in an Agile Team environment with excellent interpersonal and organizational skills.

  • Strong problem-solving skills.

  • Project planning and follow-up skills essential.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office products (Teams, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, Visio) and Miro.

  • Demonstrated proficiency with computer software and hardware tools-e.g., Microsoft Office (previous bullet), PLM (Product Life Management Systems-preferred), Digital process management tools (e.g., BIC tool

  • GBTEC) (preferred), Power BI, and Learning Management Systems (LMS-desired).
  • Possess leadership skills to build effective relationships, influence and positively motivate assigned team and peers. Ability to manage multiple priorities and execute with speed

  • Highly effective leadership, organization, negotiation, coordination, and presentation skills.

  • Strong English communication skills are required

Education:

  • Successfully completed undergraduate studies (mechanical, electrical, or industrial engineering or other technical discipline preferred)

  • Masters degree preferred (Technical discipline or Business)

  • Certification as ISO9001 and/or IATF16949 Internal Auditor required.

  • Six Sigma certification (Greenbelt, Blackbelt) or Red X or SPS Statistical Problem Solving preferred.

  • Agile: Certified Scrum Master (CSM), Certified Product Owner (CPO) certification a plus

Travel Requirements:

  • Willing to travel domestically and globally up to 15%.
