Our Lead Warehouse Technician

  • Direct Distribution plays a vital role in ensuring the highest quality and safety standards of our pharmaceutical products. Once you complete our training, your responsibilities will include overseeing shipping processes utilizing manual and automated technology. The lead technician plays a crucial role in the accurate and timely shipment of compounded pharmaceutical products directly to customers. This position involves preparing, packaging, and managing inventory of pharmaceutical products, utilizing carrier shipping systems, maintaining shipping records, and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards. This is a full-time role for our 1st Shift shift, working Monday through Friday from 6 AM-2:30 PM This is a set, consistent schedule with minimum overtime requirements and based on site in our Bloomsbury, NJ location. This is a safety sensitive position that may be subject to random drug testing, in accordance with applicable laws.

What the Lead Warehouse Technician

  • Direct Distribution Does Each Day:
  • Support direct distribution of customer orders from pick list drop through to carrier pick-up

  • Pick and package compounded pharmaceutical products for direct shipment to customers, ensuring accuracy and compliance with all relevant regulations and standards (including controlled substances)

  • Coordinate with the customer service and warehouse team to ensure timely fulfillment of customer orders and adherence to shipping schedules

  • Manage inventory of released compounded products and packaging materials to ensure adequate stock levels for efficient order processing

  • Utilize carrier shipping software and systems to create shipping labels, track packages, and schedule pickups for timely delivery to customers

  • Maintain accurate shipping records and documentation, including tracking information, invoices, and regulatory compliance paperwork

  • Inspect outgoing shipments for accuracy, completeness, and proper packaging to prevent damage during transit

  • Communicate with customer service and carrier representatives to address any shipping-related issues or concerns and provide exceptional customer service

  • Follow all safety protocols and guidelines for handling and shipping pharmaceutical products to ensure compliance with industry regulations and best practices

  • Collaborate with the quality assurance team to address any shipping-related quality or compliance issues and implement corrective actions as needed

  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to optimize shipping processes, reduce costs, and enhance overall efficiency in the direct distribution operations

  • Rotate stock in accordance with "FEFO" First-expired First-out procedure

  • Notify supervisor of any shortages of supplies

  • Handle defective, damaged and/or expired inventory in accordance with established departmental policy

  • Participates in taking physical inventories and/or cycle counts to maintain accurate inventory control

  • Must maintain technical competencies of Inventory Management system as software is upgraded or new systems are installed to replace existing system

  • Provide our key stakeholders with shipment statuses, support inventory transfers and expedites requests

  • Move material between warehouse locations based on inventory status, picking and production requirements

  • Unloads trucks of materials and loads material on trucks in a safe, timely and cost- effective manner

  • Complete all required paperwork accurately including manual entry pick lists as well as ERP system transactions using good documentation practices aligned with cGMP and company policies and procedures

  • Controlled substance picking, pre-pack verification, and processing

Our Most Successful Lead Warehouse Technician

  • Direct Distribution:
  • Possess basic computer and data entry skills including Microsoft Office

  • Have experience in AS400 and INFOR or other ERP ; UPS WorldShip

  • Demonstrate good communication and customer service skills

  • Have knowledge of discrete batch manufacturing in pharmaceutical or related field preferred

Minimum Requirements for this Role:

  • A High School diploma or equivalent

  • Able to successfully complete a drug and background check

  • Requires 2-4 years of experience in anyone, or combination of the following: Distribution, Warehousing, Shipping, Receiving, Logistics, Material handling, Customer Service, Inventory Control or other comparable service line

  • Requires the checking of reports, records, and related data

  • Kanban Training; Train the Trainer qualification

  • 18+ years of age

  • Must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis; QuVa is not able to sponsor applicants for work visas
