Job Summary

The Purdue University Veterinary Hospital is looking for an enthusiastic credentialed veterinary technician to add to our Cardiology team! As a member of Cardiology, you will have the opportunity work with board certified veterinary cardiologists, residents, and specialty interns assisting with outpatient echocardiograms and patient screenings as well as a variety of inpatient procedures in the cardiac cath lab. The veterinary nursing team assists with pacemaker implantation, balloon valvuloplasty, PDA occlusions, and a variety of minimally invasive cardiac procedures. Veterinary Technicians at Purdue are valued for their skills and knowledge and utilized for patient care as well as providing instruction and mentoring to veterinary and veterinary nursing students.

What We're Looking For:

Education and Experience:

Required:

• AAS in Veterinary Technology from AVMA accredited Veterinary Technology Program.
• Must become RVT in Indiana within 12 months of hire.
• Able to listen to and follow both verbal and written directions.
• Strong oral and written communication skills with the ability to read and write in English.
• Must possess knowledge level enough to explain and demonstrate routine veterinary medical concepts and procedures to aid in instruction of veterinary students, and veterinary technology students.
