Lead Ux/Ui Designer

Please note, this is NOT a remote position

Purpose:

UX/UI Designer responsibilities include gathering user requirements, designing graphic elements and building navigation components. To be successful in this role, you should have experience with design software and wireframe tools.  You will create both functional and appealing features that address our clients’ needs and help us grow our customer base.  Website development and management; including optimization, monitoring and analysis through SEO and analytics platforms to enhance site traffic.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Gather and evaluate UI/UX requirements in collaboration with product managers and engineers
• Develop UI mockups and prototypes that illustrate the layout, functionality, and visual aspects.
• Prepare and present rough drafts and wireframes to internal teams and key stakeholders
• Illustrate design ideas using storyboards, process flows and sitemaps
• Design graphic user interface elements, like menus, tabs and widgets
• Identify and troubleshoot UX problems (e.g. responsiveness) and conduct layout adjustments based on user feedback
• Create original graphic designs (e.g. images, sketches and tables)
• Adhere to style standards on fonts, colors and images
• Implement design solutions using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, ensuring cross-browser compatibility and responsiveness.
• Ensure timely completion of deliverables in coordination with product managers
• Coach designers and provide feedback to team members
• Strong understanding of mobile platforms and standard mobile design paradigms
• Performs other related duties as necessary or assigned

Requirements

Required Skills and Abilities:

• Proven work experience as a UI/UX Designer or similar role
• Strong portfolio demonstrating expertise in web design and user interface design.
• Attention to detail and ability to create pixel-perfect designs.
• Knowledge of responsive design principles and mobile-first approach.
• Understanding of user-centered design principles and techniques.
• Knowledge of wireframe tools (e.g. Figma, InVision)
• Experience with HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
• Up-to-date knowledge of design software like Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop
• Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate with various stakeholders
• Excellent time management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines
• Knowledge of website development and management; including optimization, monitoring and analysis through SEO and analytics platforms to enhance site traffic.

Education and Experience:

• BSc in Design, Computer Science or relevant field
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in UI/UX design / Web Design & SEO Specialist or a similar role.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in a leadership role.
