Responsibilities:
Plan and implement age-appropriate activities for children, ( Must align with Curriculum provided)
Create a safe and nurturing learning environment
Supervise children during activities and ensure their safety
Conduct systematic observations and evaluations of each child's progress
Cultivate positive relationships with children and parents
Classroom management
Attend and participate in family nights, program activities, and staff meetings
Adhere to state guidelines and childcare regulations
Qualifications:
High School Diploma or GED ( required), CDA, Associates, or Bachelor of Arts in Early Childhood Education or related field (preferred)
Experience working in a licensed childcare center (at least one year preferred)
CPR, First Aid, AED certifications, and Child Abuse prevention training within 30 days of hire
Strong knowledge of child development principles and educational practices
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work effectively with diverse populations
Dependability, adaptability, and teamwork skills
Physical Requirements:
Ability to plan, lead, and participate in activities
Occasional lifting of up to 50 lbs. for child safety and potential emergency situations
Ability to handle stressful situations professionally while multitasking
