The Test Technician Lead serves as the contact point and provides effective guidance for a group of team members. May schedule and control daily work assignments to proactively ensure smooth work operations. Must lead by example to create a positive team environment. Will set goals, delegate tasks, set deadlines, provide training and coaching, listen to team feedback and resolve issues and conflicts.
Maintain Testing Equipment (make sure all testing equipment/benches are in good working order)
Repair testing equipment immediately as to not disrupt the day to day operations
Mentor and train team to maximize individual and shop performance
Clearly communicate with and direct the team to ensure key operational activity is delivered and drives all customer KPI's
Lead the team in Supervisor's absence - with responsibility for ensuring all testing needs are met and all company policies and procedures are adhered to at all times
Share your expert knowledge of testing equipment
Demonstrate resilience and enthusiasm for working in a fast paced environment
Promote exceptional customer service by acting as a positive role model
Provide constructive feedback to Supervisor on areas of concern, in a timely manner
Ordering tools needed for daily shop operation
Fill in for testing personnel as needed
Lead by example, show enthusiasm and take pride in your role
Perform audits on employees to verify procedure knowledge and compliance
Work with little to no supervisor while ensuring job requirements are being met
Work on own initiative and be proactive
Train on all Apergy ESP equipment and be considered an expert by quality or engineering
Report weekly updates to supervisors, as needed
Special projects as assigned
1+ years of experience in a Lead role.
3+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
Prior oil and gas or ESP experience strongly preferred.
Associate degree or Technical Certification in a mechanical field strongly preferred.
