Description/Job Summary

Job Overview:

The Technician - Lead may work in any type of location on client premises. This individual performs maintenance, repairs, and installs various types of machines. The general responsibilities of the position include those listed below, but Sodexo may identify other responsibilities of the position. These responsibilities may differ among accounts, depending on business necessities and client requirements.

/General Responsibilities:
/

  • Maintains, repairs, and installs various types of equipment and related devices such as personal computers, electronic transmitting and receiving equipment etc.

  • Disassembles machines and repairs or replaces broken parts.

  • Adjusts functional parts of electronic devices as necessary.

  • Orders replacement parts.

  • Inspects completed repairs.

  • Complies with all company safety and risk management policies and procedures

  • Reports all accidents and injuries in a timely manner.

  • Participates in regular safety meetings, safety training and hazard assessments.

  • Applies all applicable OSHA and related local safety requirements to all assigned work.

  • Performs all work in accordance with established safety procedures.

  • Attends training programs (classroom and virtual) as designated.

  • Troubleshoots and resolves end-user problems and ensures correct operation of equipment.

  • Identifies, investigates and researches user questions and problems as well as recognizing, researching, isolating and resolving information systems problems.

  • Coordinates referrals to appropriate technical, professional or service personnel for appropriate services, repairs, training, and follow-up.

  • Identifies and corrects unsafe working conditions with management oversight.

  • Applies basic skills and may develop advanced skills using tools and equipment appropriate for the position.

  • Maintains inventory of parts and log of all repairs/service performed.

  • May perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

  • Job Qualifications:

/Experience/Knowledge:

  • High School diploma, GED or equivalent experience.

  • 0 - 2 years of related work experience

/Skills/Aptitude:/

  • Ability to present self in a highly professional manner to others and understands that honesty and ethics are essential.

  • Ability to maintain a positive attitude.

  • Ability to communicate with co-workers and other departments with professionalism and respect.

  • Ability to maintain a professional relationship with all coworkers, vendor representatives, supervisors, managers, customers and client representatives.

  • Knowledge of and proficiency in all OSHA and local requirements related to all assigned work.

Coordinate, perform and ensure the provision of additional facility maintenance services including carpentry, plumbing, painting, snow removal, and CMMS system data entry to maintain client's building infrastructure and grounds in a commercial office facility. Interaction and coordination with the customer representative and/or their approved vendors to ensure work requests are completed safely, with quality workmanship and as scheduled in a timely manner as outlined in the SLA's for the account. Job Description * Manage the work flow of vendors and onsite staff. * Ensure mechanical systems are regularly inspected, calibrated, maintained, tested and repaired as needed and required for all types of facility systems including; HVAC, electrical, lighting, fire, life, safety, boilers, refrigeration units, compressors, motors and pumps and all associated controls and ensure the provision of facility maintenance services including carpentry, plumbing, painting, and landscaping to maintain client's building infrastructure and grounds. * Perform and/or participate in safety training as per C&W Services policy * Perform and/or ensure routine inspections, preventive maintenance, calibration, functional and operational testing of facility systems and equipment occurs * Utilize CMMS computer system to Manage Workflow which includes; documenting tasks performed, maintaining equipment histories including parts replaced, hours worked, time to respond, and time to complete. * Responsible for completing and data input for all assigned work orders (both corrective and PM) daily. * Ensure equipment, tools, and work areas are maintained in a clean, safe and orderly manner. * Utilize and have a thorough understanding of national and local codes for equipment repair. Ensure all work is performed in accordance with OSHA, state and municipal requirements and C&W Services safety policies. * Ensure performance of quality work and regularly communicate repair status of devices and systems to the Facilities Manager. * Interaction, coordinating and leading work tasks with informal and formal teams, with other employees and customer representatives from various departments demonstrating a professional demeanor at all times.
