POSITION SUMMARY: Responsible for evaluating reagents, equipment, new test methods, patient data, reviewing worksheets, quality control and equipment maintenance within assigned section.
Maintains supplies, equipment and all records of the assigned section. Prepares reports and section specific assignments or responsible for oversight of an assigned function (i.e., LIS coordination, education). Associate Degree or Bachelor Degree from an approved program in Medical Laboratory Technology
A minimum of three (3) years in a clinical lab two (2) of which must be within assigned section of responsibility.
MT/MLS/MLT ASCP or AMT is required.
Must be able to read and write. Must have ability to learn/use computer software.
Requires skill in obtaining lab specimens from all age groups. Follows Just Culture principles to ensure just assessment of individual acts.
