Job Description:

Our Manufacturing Operations teams are the people that make our products. We work in the manufacturing plants with a "Safety First, Quality Always" mindset striving for continuous improvement. We work in the local plant connected to our global manufacturing network to ensure the highest quality of raw materials, intermediates and finished products.

At all times, follow Good Manufacturing Practices and Standard Operating Procedures and adhere to all safety and company policies while performing advanced laboratory services in various manufacturing areas. Some duties may include but are not limited to the following:

  • Clean work area including floors, walls, tables, etc.

  • Prepare, clean and sterilize glassware and equipment for use.

  • Equipment setup and operation.

  • Perform aseptic procedures including media preparation, antigen inoculation and harvest, tissue culture preparation and harvest, filling vaccines, etc.

  • Assist with performing non-aseptic procedures including handling of live poultry in the process of harvesting tissue and waste.

  • Filling, labeling, capping, packaging and inspecting product.

  • Concurrent record keeping including charts, log books, and all pertinent documentation.

  • Report all unusual, non-routine occurrences when performing tasks.

  • Technicians may be responsible for accumulation, labeling and management of hazardous wastes, as appropriate to their area, providing they are properly trained prior to assignment.

  • Attend training classes, workshops, meetings, etc., as required to improve job skills and product-related procedures.

  • Demonstrates, at all times, safe work habits and maintains a safe work environment. Understands and complies with all safety and company policies and procedures.

  • Train, mentor and assist in supervision of other team members within the manufacturing group.

  • Assist with the direction of others by:

  • ensuring written procedures are being followed

  • ensure safety of team members

  • ensure facility and equipment are properly maintained

  • participate in special projects as assigned

  • assist in scheduling work

  • ensure work is completed and assume supervision when supervision is absent

  • Assist in weekly reports as assigned.

Education Minimum Requirement:

  • High School diploma/GED with minimum of 6 years of laboratory or related vaccine production experience OR

  • Associates degree in biological life sciences field with a minimum of 4 years laboratory or related vaccine production experience OR

  • Bachelor's degree in biological life sciences field with a minimum of 3 years laboratory or related vaccine production experience

Required Experience and

Skills:
  • Experience in a laboratory setting preferred

  • Must have the ability to read, write and understand technical information and to effectively communicate information to colleagues at various levels

  • Lead Tech is multi-skilled within own product/department and has developed depth/breadth of skills in more than one product/department.

  • Applies knowledge and skills to other areas within product/department; provides technical guidance and training to others

  • Anticipates and solves complex production/operational problems

  • Organizes own time and that of others and may supervise some work of others

  • Read, write and understand technical information and to effectively communicate information to colleagues at various levels

  • Perform more advanced mathematical calculations and conversions

Preferred Experience and

Skills:
  • Experience leading others.

  • Experience in Aseptic clean room behaviors

LEAP fully prepares you to Lead, Engage, Advance, and Perform as a Walgreens Assistant Store Manager. Program Requirement: * At least 6 months military experience Job Objectives Opens and closes the store in the absence of store management, including all required systems start-ups, required cash handling, and ensuring the floor and stock room are ready for the business day. Responsible for opening back door of store for deliveries. Job Responsibilities Customer Experience * Engages customers and patients by greeting them and offering assistance with products and services. Resolves customer issues and answers questions to ensure a positive customer experience. * Models and shares customer service best practices with all team members to deliver a distinctive and delightful customer experience, including interpersonal habits (e.g., greeting, eye contact, courtesy, etc.) and Walgreens service traits (e.g., offering help proactively, identifying needs, servicing until satisfied, etc.). Operations * Responsible for holding store keys to open and close without management as necessary. * Assists with and coaches other team members to work with warehouse and vendor ordering process as the orders are created, reviewed, and received, including opening the backdoor for vendor deliveries. * Responsible and accountable for registering all related sales on assigned cash register, including records of scanning errors, price verifications, items not on file, price modifications, and voids. * Assists manager or assistant store manager in reviewing order exceptions on order release day and assists in reverse logistics (e.g., 1506, returns, empty package). * Assists manager or assistant store manager in evaluating and developing displays, including promotional, seasonal, super structures, and sale merchandise. Completes resets and revisions. * Maintains accurate inventory counts; maintains the accuracy of on-hand quantities including, but not limited to, basic departments, stockroom, and overstock locations. * Assist with ensuring the Outdate program is followed with team members. * Responsible for basic department pricing and making daily price changes; ensures proper signage is displayed at the store to support accurate pricing of products. Ensures any additional pricing tasks related to local regulations and/or regulatory compliance programs are completed accurately and within the required time frame. * Assist with bookkeeping activities, including cash report, cash counts, ledgers, and bill payment as necessary or as requested. * Assists with exterior and interior maintenance by ensuring clean, neat, orderly store condition and appearance, including requesting store or system repairs as required in manager absence, or as requested by manager. * Assists with separation of food items (e.g., raw foods from pre-cooked) and product placement as specified by policies/procedures (e.g., raw and frozen meats on bottom shelves). For consumable items, assists in stock rotation, using the first in, first out method and restock outs. * Has working knowledge of store systems and store equipment. * Assist at Pharmacy out window as requested. * Ensures compliance with state and local laws regarding regulated products (e.g., alcoholic beverages and tobacco products). * Responsible for bag checks of team members before leaving the store. * Complies with all company policies and procedures; maintains respectful relationships with coworkers. * Completes special assignments and other tasks as assigned.
