The Lead Teacher is responsible for the coordination, planning and instruction of the Middle School Summer Learning Academy program. This position is a member of the Education team and serves under the direction of the Program Developer.
Will need to have availability from June 17 to July 26 Monday through Friday in the afternoons with a few training days beforehand.
Lead in planning and daily set up of the classroom
Instruct and manage students
Organize and supervise field trips to area colleges
Keep accurate data for students participating in the summer program
Bachelor's Degree in Education or other relevant field.
One year or more experience in teaching preferred.
Michigan State Teaching Certificate required.
Must be able to read, write and communicate in English. Fluency in Spanish also preferred.
Have a working knowledge of Microsoft programs, including Word, PowerPoint and Excel.
Have or obtain within three months, a valid Michigan's Driver's License and insured transportation
