The Classroom Teacher plans, implements, evaluates, and supervises developmental classrooms for children, including children with disabilities and their peers without disabilities when applicable. He/she will act as case manager/service coordinator for each child in the class by consulting with parents and other staff to promote and ensure appropriate programming. The Classroom Teacher may be asked to assist other center staff members in a variety of ways.

Requirements

  • current CDA
  • AA degree in Early Childhood or related field - preferred (may be currently enrolled)
  • At least 18 years of age
  • 3 years teaching experience (preferred)
  • Must relate well to children and their families
  • Must pass DSHS background check and federal background check
  • Must have proof of U.S. citizenship or right to work
  • Training and certifications required by state licensing and NAEYC
