RSM US, LLP is looking for a Development Leader with 15+ years of experience delivering results with increasing responsibilities and visibility to join our growing CTO team. You will use your experience managing development teams, influencing stakeholders, and translating vision to deliver significant, needle-moving products to RSM owners, employees, and clients. Functionally, you will oversee the support of existing Excel VBA tools, bring new capabilities to the team, and create new solutions using a variety of platforms and languages, and document functionality of the solutions. This will include overseeing the entire software development life cycle and be responsible for hands-on oversight and leadership of your development team members' work to ensure a consistent, uniform approach to software development.

Overall responsibility for solution development / technology design / architecture:

  • Translates prioritized business vision into an achievable technology / architecture roadmap, planning for both early adoption & mainstream solutions

  • Liaisons with National Sponsor(s); coordinate 'big picture' strategy/vision to meet the prioritized business need; and proposes resources/scope/timeline to meet need

  • Performs final code review and ensures unit testing results meet technical and business / functional requirements before user acceptance testing commences

  • Identifies and effectively communicates project status and tax technical/service issues to the senior management team, including Partners, Principals, Directors and Senior Managers

  • Responsible for stakeholder management, requirement elicitation, overseeing estimations for business analysis tasks and deliverables, functional specifications using user stories, acceptance criteria and use case narration, UI mockups and prototypes using prototyping tools

  • Responsible for ensuring unique business needs are properly translated to functional specification

  • Participates in client-facing requirements gathering sessions with business unit and end-user; while overseeing documentation of end-user requirements for data capture, program functions, data quality, reports and analysis, and training

  • Builds new team capabilities by selecting platforms, developing plans to integrate into the team toolbox, and setting and achieving benchmark goals for usage and impact

  • Administers duties related to managing the team (e.g. monitor team schedule and workloads, ensures team members have stretch assignments, provides timely performance feedback, and ensures individual and team goals are aligned to CTO vision / strategy)

  • Other duties as assigned, including supporting training efforts, assisting in other projects, etc

Basic Qualifications:

  • Undergraduate degree in Computer Science, Information Science, Data Science, or related field

  • Solution design and/or architecture

  • Advanced Excel proficiency

  • Microsoft Office proficiency

  • 15+ years' software development and/or support within a client-centric industry with increasing responsibilities

  • 10+ year's software development management

  • 3-5+ years leading large, cross-functional projects

  • 5+ years Advanced Excel

  • 3-5 years Excel VBA

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Masters in Computer Science, Information Science, Data Science, or related field

Education and Experience Required: * Bachelors' Degree required, preferably in business management or food science * Minimum ten years sales experience in the food industry with an emphasis on Food Service National Accounts. * Excellent selling and presentation skills * Excellent written and oral communication skills * Strong Leadership skills with the ability to coordinate, direct and inspire the productivity of others, and lead cross-functional teams within 8th Ave. Food & Provisions and key customers. A history of passion and initiative to manage and motivate people. * Strong time management, planning and prioritization skills * Good analytical skills with high attention to detail * Proficient with Microsoft Office suite computer skills: Word, Excel and PowerPoint skills * Ability to multi-task and prioritize objectives, anticipate situations and take quick action. * Extensive knowledge of kitchen operations including a broad understanding of culinary applications.
