Talent Business Advisor and Resource Professional/CL4- A&A US Delivery Center
Talent Business Advisors focus on shaping the way Talent services are delivered to the Business by partnering with key business decision makers and establishing and maintaining a deep understanding of the business environment, strategy, and people implications. The mission of Resource Managers is to optimize deployment of our workforce by assigning our professionals to roles that satisfy the needs of our external clients, develop our people, and support our strategic business priorities.
Work you'll do
As a Talent Business Advisor in the A&A US Delivery center you will work with business leaders to provide Talent consultative solutions tailored to support the execution of strategic priorities for the Audit & Assurance business. You will also work with USDC Leaders and professionals to efficiently and effectively deploy center-based resources as needed.
Partners with key decision-making business leaders to craft, execute and drive the delivery of the USDC Talent strategy.
Serves as the single point of contact for all Talent related initiatives and activities within the Delivery Center.
Provides strategic and consultative Talent services to business leaders. Identifies and counsels the business on Talent issues that affect the success of the business and articulates how Talent can help drive business performance.
Leveraging the Centers of Excellence (COEs) and Core Talent Services (CTS), Business Advisors have increased capacity to deliver deep industry insights and market leading practices that underpin and contribute to the definition and execution of business priorities.
Optimize utilization across the assigned practitioner population by making staffing decisions in support of the deployment strategy for the business or practice area
Propose assigned practitioners with current or near-term availability to project assignments that align with their skills, professional goals, and/or staffing preferences
Own and manage resource requests for assigned practice area by validating requirements, searching for candidates, and presenting candidates for consideration
Advise projects on how best to navigate and engage in the resource management processes, and make recommendations for improved outcomes
Utilize all available RM tools and Deloitte resources to identify candidates and develop creative staffing solutions for open resource requests
Develop and maintain relationships with key practice and industry leaders, and leverage these relationships to maximize deployment opportunities for assigned population
Resolve staffing conflicts to the satisfaction of all parties, which may include identifying creative staffing alternatives and negotiating with projects and practitioners
Escalate sensitive or high-risk staffing situations to RM and/or business leadership, as appropriate
Actively maintain one-on-one relationships with assigned practitioners in order to develop detailed understanding of practitioner goals and preferences,as well as to provide deployment-related career coaching
Maintain understanding of key resource management metrics and how these metrics impact practice financial performance
Maintain high level of proficiency in all resource management tools and relevant Deloitte technology resources
Assist in owning headcount review and submission for updates to the order board
Work directly with finance and ops on the forward look/forecasting by period for the USDC including headcount, hours, availability, rate, assumptions around pickup and overtime, rate, HPP, etc.
Work with other RMs within the Audit team to define deployment process and strategy as well as necessary resource sharing
The Talent Business Advisor organization champions a "One Talent Team" through collaboration with the Centers of Excellence (COEs) and Core Talent Services (CTS) to deliver integrated Talent services to support Business strategies and priorities.
Must be able to physically reside in the Gilbert, AZ USDC Location
BA or BS undergraduate degree
Minimum of 5 years' experience, preferably in Human Resources or related experience in a professional services firm.
Strong negotiation and conflict resolutions skills; Ability to manage and resolve complex and sensitive solutions
Strong critical thinking, analysis and problem-solving skills
Strong written and oral communications
Ability to manage confidential information appropriately and professionally
Strong competency in core professional skills, especially: attention to detail, responsiveness, follow through, flexibility, initiative, and tact
Strong proficiency with MS Office tools: Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook
Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks appropriately
Ability to perform complex data analysis including data metrics affecting utilization
