About the Team:

Looking for a Principal System Engineer to join the Data Analytics and Engineering (DAE) Team in the Consumer Experience organization. The DAE team is seeking an energetic and experienced individual for a position in data analytics. This role is responsible for analyzing data, identifying, and resolving data discrepancies, across multiple business applications specializing in transforming reporting and analytics across key areas of the business.

About the Job:

This role will be involved in improving, and arming our leaders with the right reports, tools, and insights to drive the business. It entails applying rigor to the existing reporting and analytics landscape and understanding how to realize benefits across visualization, automation, and consumption of information that ultimately promote a stronger and healthier data culture.

Roles and Responsibilities:

• Assembling large, complex sets of data that meet non-functional and functional business requirements.

• Identifying, designing and implementing internal process improvements including re-designing infrastructure for greater scalability, optimizing data delivery, and automating manual processes.

• Building required infrastructure for optimal extraction, transformation and loading of data from various data sources using Azure and SQL technologies.

• Building analytical tools to utilize the data pipeline, providing actionable insight into key business performance metrics including operational efficiency and customer acquisition.

• Working with stakeholders including data, design, product and executive teams and assisting them with data-related technical issues.

• Working with stakeholders including the Executive, Product, and Delivery teams to support their data infrastructure needs while assisting with data-related technical issues.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of Three (3) years of experience with Azure Cloud

• Experience with Azure Admin resources (Subscription Compliance)

• Experience in Azure Synapse, Azure SQL Server, Azure KeyVault, Azure Vnets

• Minimum of Three (3) years of experience leveraging PowerBI.

• Experience in custom ETL design, implementation, and maintenance

• Experience with schema design and dimensional data modeling

• Experience with Python, SCALA, SPARK, .NET

• Experience with SQL programming

• Knowledge of IT concepts, strategies, methodologies

• Understanding of agile data engineering concepts and processes

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a demonstrable passion to be a change champion

• Must be team oriented with strong collaboration, prioritization, and adaptability skills required

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or other technical discipline or equivalent experience.

Experience:

Typically requires 5-8 years experience. Technical Career Pathway (TCP) role.

Our Lead System Engineering earns between $143,800.00-$215,800.00 USD Annual, Not to mention all the other amazing rewards that working at AT&T offers. Individual starting salary within this range may depend on geography, experience, expertise, and education/training.
