Applicants beyond fifty (50) miles may still be considered.Job SummaryFarmers (Woodland Hills, CA) seeks a Lead System Architect to design and develop architecture delivery with alignment to the enterprise architecture vision, strategy and roadmap and interpret internal/external business challenges and recommend best practices to improve products, processes or services. Specific duties include: develop and maintain Web application; review detail design and code to ensure alignment to high level design and architecture; solve complex problems to lead technical planning, architecture development and modification of physical specifications for a specific technology/platform; execute POCs and pilot on platform to highlight quick business outcomes; work independently, with guidance in only the most complex situations including pilot execution and assessment of system performance, scalability, and health; responsible for definition and alignment on system standards and principles; support business in building a Lean Business case and breaking epics into features; lead or oversee complex or cross-functional projects and manage relationships with vendors/contractors; and provide strong influences and accountability to the success of the vendor roadmap to maximize value delivered by platform. Option to work remotely with required travel to local offices as needed, if within 50 miles of remote worksite.Position requires a Bachelor's degree, or foreign equivalent, in Computer Science, or a closely related field of study, plus 7 years of experience in the job offered, or as System Architect, Software Engineer, Senior Consultant, or similar in position designing and developing delivery. Must have 7 years of experience working with: Java J2EE and Spring Boot; and Design and Development. Must also have 7 years of experience working with: Splunk and App Dynamics; and DocuSign and OKTA. Additionally, must have 5 years of experience working with: MuleSoft; Docker and Kubernetes; AWS/Heroku/ROSA cloud platform; RabbitMQ and WebSphereMQ; and Oracle Service Bus Data Power and IBM Integration BUS. Specific experience must also include 3 years of working with architecture and 1year of working in P&C insurance industry.
