Freese and Nichols is seeking a Lead Support Specialist in Fort Worth or Dallas to manage a team of support specialists in our North Texas offices and manage the administrative function supporting the company at various levels in those offices (Fort Worth, Dallas, Denton, El Paso and Frisco).

Responsibilities include:

  • Maintaining organizational structure for support services team for the North Texas division by recruiting, selecting, and developing employees

  • Developing staff by communicating job expectations, managing workload, evaluating and recognizing job performance, providing conflict resolution, and ensuring team lives out company values

  • Evaluating training needs and planning career development for staff

  • Encouraging creativity and creating a team environment which promotes collaboration

  • Setting goals, deadlines, and delegating projects based on needs of the business

  • Overseeing procedures to improve day-to-day operations; streamlining processes and overall functions of the team

  • Supporting regional leadership, assisting Division and Assistant Division Managers with day-to-day tasks such as calendar management, meeting logistics, and coordination of events for regional/office/group operations

  • Maintaining consistent communication between Technical Group Managers and Division/Asst. Division Managers to ensure support needs are met throughout the region and any issues that arise are resolved promptly

  • Developing a strategy and implementing actions for continuous improvement for support services, and assisting in development of content for company-wide Technical Excellence Program for Support Specialists, focusing on best practices and technical areas

  • Improving or developing standard operating procedures throughout the region's front desk operation

  • Ensuring that the company's policies are being followed and that our offices are operating safely and efficiently within the region's core scope of responsibility

  • Maintaining regular communication and training with various corporate groups to stay up to date on processes and procedures

  • Assisting in overseeing special projects supporting company initiatives and tracking progress towards company goals

  • Assisting in providing additional corporate level support tasks for the Executive Assistant

  • Supporting multiple company-level functions such as serving on committees, meeting coordination, events, travel, meeting document preparation, etc.

Qualifications

  • Associate's degree required

  • 10+ years' experience in an administrative support role (education may substitute experience)

  • 7+ years' experience in an executive support role

  • Flexibility to travel to various office locations in Dallas/Fort Worth metroplex, when required

Preferred

  • Bachelor's degree

  • Experience with Architecture, Engineering and Construction (AEC) or consulting firms

  • Working knowledge of software such as BST, Cosential, Concur, Bluebeam and/or Adobe Suite
