Lead Sterile Processing Tech Full Time Nights

POSITION SUMMARY

Performs sterilization and decontamination procedures to ensure quality instrumentation is provided for patient care. Maintains supplies and equipment for use in patient care. Monitors inventory to ensure that patient needs are met. Oversees that log books are kept up to date, generate instrument orders, and coordinates with Clinical Coordinators to ensure that instrument trays/count sheets are kept current. Works in coordination with OR personnel to ensure accuracy of instrument trays. Performs miscellaneous duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

REQUIREMENTS

Minimum Education/Licensure / Certifications

• High school graduate or equivalent

• Able to communicate in English fluently (written and verbal)

• Certified central service technician or certification acquired with in one year.

• Able to add, subtract, multiply and divide.

Minimum Experience

3 years' experience, current basic and specialty surgical instrument handling skills/knowledge.

Lead Technician Sterile Processing Certification must be acquired within six months

Desired: 5 years or more experience.
