Position Summary
This position will assist in the daily operations and guidance of assigned Rental Services locations and support the Rental Services Human Resource Business Leaders (HRBL) team surrounding employee relations, performance, and policy issues. This position will partner closely with the Regional HR Manager - Employee & Labor Relations to ensure that employee relations and policy questions and concerns are handled appropriately in a timely manner. The incumbent will also closely align with the Sr. Vice President of Rental Services and the divisional leadership team on people issues, business structure, performance, etc.
Position Duties/Responsibilities
Provides guidance to people leaders in both states on employee issues including: harassment, discrimination, wage & hour concerns, leaves of absence, workers compensation, injuries, onboarding, terminations, attendance, investigations and disciplinary actions.
Ensures compliance with CBA's, corporate policies, and state, local, and federal guidelines to protect the business and its employees.
Serves as a daily resource to the Rental Services HRBL team members on employee relations issues for the company.
Facilitates and ensures a consistent approach to HR Business Leader support throughout the Rental Services division.
Consults with Regional HR Manager, Employee & Labor Relations when necessary, on employee disciplinary action processes (performance improvement plans, performance discussions, and review/support of potential termination proceedings).
Maintains in-depth knowledge of HR legal requirements, reducing legal risks and ensuring regulatory compliance.
Partners with training to help develop HR training and coaching to management (performance management, career development, business restructures, workforce planning, etc.).
Facilitates HR projects and initiatives associated with organizational strategy.
Partners closely with the Sr. Vice President of Rental Services and the divisional leadership team on people issues, business structure, performance, etc. to ensure consistency.
Consults with leaders, providing guidance when appropriate.
Works closely with business unit leadership and employees to improve work relationships, build morale, and increase productivity and retention.
Performs other related duties as assigned.
