Job Description:

We have an exciting and challenging opportunity to join our eHosting team! Our eHosting team is responsible for hosting anything health care. We offer a total package of award winning remote hosting services tailored to the demanding needs of health care organizations. We are hiring for an experienced Senior Enterprise DBA .

Our Senior Enterprise Database Administrator's install, upgrade, and configure database software, implement and maintain complex database security, conduct proactive and reactive database monitoring and maintenance, configure, monitor and maintain the databases, set up and maintain database backups, as well as other database related tasks.

Additional Information

Applicants for U.S. based positions with Cerner Corporation must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Verification of employment eligibility will be required at the time of hire. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.

Some Cerner positions may be obligated to comply with client-facing requirements and occupational health requests, including but not limited to, an immunization set, an annual flu shot, an annual TB screen, an updated background check, and/or an updated drug screen.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Mathematics, Electronics, Computer Software, Operational Research, Computer System Engineering, Computer Science or related field or relevant work experience

  • At least 5 years of database management work experience

Preferred Qualifications

  • 6+ years of database administration
  • 6+ years of SQL
  • 4+ years of PostegreSQL support
  • 2+ years of Oracle support
  • 2+ years of client interaction

Expectations

  • May be required to lift up to 20 lbs., i.e. server, network equipment

  • Wiling to work on call shifts

  • Willing to work additional or irregular hours as needed and allowed by local regulations

  • Work in accordance with corporate and organizational security policies and procedures, understand personal role in safeguarding corporate and client assets, and take appropriate action to prevent and report any compromises of security within scope of position

  • Perform other responsibilities as assigned
