BRIEF POSITION SUMMARY:
Under the supervision of the Solution Implementation Manager the Solution Implementation Lead is required to perform the following duties: complex installations and data collection, vendor managed inventory solution design, scheduling and project management, cross reference and business needs analyst assistance with sales team as well as maintenance and training. The Solution Implementation Lead is expected to have a mastery of tasks pertaining to the installation and design of VMI solutions.
DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES:
Proficient in mentoring associates and capable of performing complex implementations, customer item data collections, VMI solution analysis, baselining inventory, asset tracking and management, cancellations, post-install support
Takes lead on projects and will need to train local VMIS associates on proper implementation process and VMI solution designs.
Possess solid decision-making skills as implementations will require ability to adjust and change direction based on variables and outside factors.
Facilitates the checklist work flow to ensure all tasks are completed and reported to customer.
Supports and drive designated team goals and objectives.
Conduct business need analysis in partnership with the sales team in order to help design solution and pre-plan customer's implementation strategies.
Ensure management of all implementation requirements are completed in a timely manner.
Responsible for being the lead person on site for implementations. They will be responsible to follow the work flow and ensure all associates on site are directed in work tasks and that proper communication is shared with sales and customer.
Responsible for executing on all said adjustments and add these into communication to customer and sales.
Will take requests from sales management for new implementations, then be responsible to help coordinate and assign available and appropriate resources to execute on implementation requests
Provide support to all internal and external customers during the implementation process.
Drive continuous improvement of implementation efficiency and best in class customer solutions
Collaborate and coordinates all projects with Route Optimization, Sales, and VMIS teams.
Facilitate and support smaller implementations with local VMIS team
Responsible for providing On-site product cross reference and data collection
Proficient knowledge of all tools and technology utilized for implementation.
Work with Solution Implementation Manager on continuous improvement projects.
Create and maintain accurate pre/post documentation of implementations including baselining, pictures, and cost savings record.
Utilization and upkeep of case management, routing, and sales information recorded within salesforce.
Interacts with customers and associates in a positive and constructive manner.
Support MSC Lean initiatives, evaluate, document and recommend changes in methods and procedures to maximize efficiency and promote overall team success.
Support and follow all Standard Operating Procedures.
Maintains accurate records following all MSC policies and procedures documented in the associate handbook.
Participates in special projects and performs additional duties as required.
Fosters the MSC Culture in the department and throughout the company to ensure unity of purpose and fulfillment of MSC's mission.
EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE:
High School Diploma or the equivalent required. Associate's Degree preferred.
Minimum of one year supporting value-added customer solutions / inventory management programs required
Excellent Organizational skills required.
Excellent Product Knowledge skills required.
Organizational & time management skills required.
Computer literacy & proficiency in word processing, spreadsheet & presentation software required.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills required.
A valid driver's license & the ability to travel 80% including overnight is required.
Must possess basic knowledge and use of hand and power tools.
Able to perform physical activities such as lifting to approximately 50 lbs.
Ability to work in various types of industrial environments.
