The Role:

Our site in Chaska, Mn, is seeking an Lead Software Test Engineer to join our team. The Lead Software Test Engineer will be responsible for creating and executing test procedures for custom test equipment supporting an industry leading portfolio of measuring and control devices used in the semiconductor manufacturing industry. In this role you'd be working on projects to improve the productivity and quality of our parts and processes and working with a manufacturing and engineering team. What You'll Do:

• Production Test Engineers are responsible for creating and executing the test procedure for all products produced by manufacturing.

• Collaborative with the development team to review test/calibration processes for completeness.

• Continuously improves process and work methodologies by collaborating with peers/multi-functional groups and analyzing activities to improve workflow and work processes.

• Create manufacturing system applications developed in primarily in C#.

• Manage cross-functional project teams with scientists, technical support and other engineers to diagnose firmware/manufacturing software issues.

• Support a custom Manufacturing Execution Software application and database.

• Work on new product development projects requiring Manufacturing Software solutions.

• Manage test engineering related projects.

• Train other employees as needed.

What We Seek:

• Ability to understand functional/technical requirements and specifications.

• Experience in Excel basic data processing and presenting (formula, charts...etc.)

• Familiarity with basic test hardware (like multimeter, switch matrix,. Etc.)

• Familiarity with industrial communication technologies (like Serial, Modbus, GPIB ...etc.)

• Demonstrated analytical/experimental problem-solving skills to understand hardware, software issues, and be able to quickly analyze and resolve system inter-operability problems.

• At least 5 years of experience in application development (specifically in VB. NET, C#)

• Minimum four-year Science or Engineering Degree; Preferred discipline: Electrical Engineering, Computer Science or highly related field;

Outstanding Candidates Will Have:

• Relational database experience (SQL, Access)

• Familiarity with NI TestStand and/or LabView

• Experience building or maintaining custom manufacturing software systems.

• Experience with Azure DevOps and its source control systems (GIT, TFVC)

• Experience creating custom manufacturing systems with embedded software (PLC or Microcontroller based)

• Experience with modernizing legacy test systems

• Experience leading a test engineering team (software and hardware)
