As a Lead Software Engineering, you'll be responsible for the overall delivery process of a software application or service, including design, development, testing, deployment, production application support (e.g., troubleshooting) and maintenance with a focus on automation.
Key Roles and Responsibilities:
Collaborate to gather and review software requirements and user stories, provide estimates, create software design specifications, and collaborate with engineers and architects to assess and test hardware and software interactions.
Execute a specific development methodology through application of various programming languages.
Create and execute automated test plans and strategies utilizing business requirements and collaborate with engineers and architects, clients, etc. to validate test environments, test data and test results, design and implement code fixes, validate outcomes against expected results and produce associated reporting.
In addition to Unit Test, responsibilities may include dynamic application security testing, interface testing, integration testing, end-to-end testing and/or user acceptance testing.
Supports applications and solves configuration and environment issues.
Desired Qualifications and Skills/Knowledge:
Knowledge with Observability Logging solutions - ElasticSearch /OpenSearch
Create and manage Elasticsearch/OpenSearch Clusters
Fine tune bulk load process
Provide ElasticSearch/OpenSearch tuning/optimizing based on application needs
Well versed with Java REST client API
Contribute to team design discussions with detailed technical information
Develop code with quality, scalability and extensibility
Provide work breakdown and estimates for complex software development tasks
Identify strategic/tactical solutions and provides risk assessments and recommendations
Support ELK (ElasticSearch, Logstash and Kibana) and OpenSearch stack solutions
Required Qualifications and Skills/knowledge:
3 + years of Expert knowledge with Elasticsearch/OpenSearch platforms
Expert in AKS/Kubernetes
Cloud environment experience
Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Applied Science, Electrical Engineering, or Math, Developer nanodegree
Experience building an enterprise level ES solution.
Experience upgrading Elasticsearch /OpenSearch versions.
Expert knowledge on ELK (Elasticsearch, Logstash and Kibana)
Expert knowledge in Java, memory management, find tuning, etc.
Ability to multi-task and prioritize in a fast paced, team-oriented environment.
Dev/Ops knowledge
Strong Analytical and Communication skills
Our Lead Software Engineering earns between $128,400 - $215,800. Not to mention all the other amazing rewards that working at AT&T offers. Individual starting salary within this range may depend on geography, experience, expertise, and education/training.
