Perform analysis, design and programming to solve business and systems problems focusing on ETL, database usage and warehousing. Prepare detailed specifications from which programs are written to enhance the Bank's IT processes. Document and maintain programs, utilizing knowledge and experience to confer with user representatives from across the Bank as well as vendors to gain an understanding of necessary changes to the Bank's applications. Submit specifications to senior staff members or management for review, and act as a resource to junior staff members. To be an independent contributor and manage assigned projects.

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Computer Applications, Software Engineering, or related field of study plus 5 years relevant experience.

  • Must have some lead project/development experience.

  • Experience must include use of Informatica Power Center ETL tool and strong programming skills. With recent Informatica Power Center (BDM a plus) experience. Additional ETL tools a plus.

  • Requires experience with RDBMS and Dimensional databases. Strong SQL experience. Any modeling or MongoDB experience is a plus.

  • Requires knowledge on multiple data sources/targets like (Excel, CSV, Flat file, Xml, Web services).

  • Requires knowledge in Change Data Capture (CDC) techniques like Slowly Changing dimension dimensions (type1, type2 & type3) and simple pass through mapping.

  • Requires experience in coordinating with Business Analysts, QA team, DBA team and End Users and systems admins at various stages of Software life cycle.


  • ETL tools: Informatica (Must), and SSIS, SAP Data Integrator

  • Databases: MongoDB, MS SQL Server, Sybase, and Oracle

  • Programming Languages: Java, C++

  • IDE: Eclipse

  • OS: Unix, Linux, Windows

  • Scripting Languages: JavaScript/JSON, XML, Perl, Python

  • Methodologies: Agile, Design Patterns

This is a direct hire, full time position at its data center in Bridgeport, CT. Candidates must have 5-7 years experience in design, setup and administration of Middleware including web servers, application servers and content management systems, along with a strong knowledge of DevOps and Continuous Integration, preferably in the finance industry. Responsibilities * Design, setup, and configure the bank's middleware infrastructure including web and application servers, message queuing services, content management systems, and related hardware, software, and management components in an enterprise class environment. * Lead the implementation of middleware application releases and upgrades. Document installation, configuration, monitoring, and design procedures, and deployment, stress and failure test scenarios. * Develop and maintain scripts and programs to automate the testing, release, integration, and management of middleware applications. * Upgrade, maintain, and administer the existing middleware environment and its management framework. * Lead the technical process for capacity planning, forecasting and workload modeling. * Monitor the performance of the bank's middleware environment. Develop methods and practices to recover the environments from various failures within SLAs. * Provide 24 x 7 x 365 support for applications relying on the bank's middleware environment.
