The position as lead software engineer/project manager reports directly to the Director of Information Technology and is responsible for the design, development, and maintenance of custom developed software as a service, web applications for the various business divisions under POOLCORP. This position will coordinate work and priorities between existing development team and project stakeholders
Have thorough knowledge of the software development life cycle including requirements gathering development and testing methodologies.
Specific technologies required include: MVC Core, Restful Web Services, Azure DevOps, Bootstrap, React and JSON technologies
Knowledge of basic business and accounting practices is preferred.
Experience in leading an agile environment preferred.
Work with the IT Director and executive team to support short- and long-term release planning, and keep work backlog healthy and prepared for execution.
Provide clear documentation and release notes, make use of SQL databases, test, and debug applications.
Communicate with end users and corporate personnel to identify and solve issues.
Evaluate new development, technologies, and IT guidelines.
Other duties, as assigned.
Candidate Qualification Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in computer science or related developmental technology
5 years' experience in building, deploying, maintaining, and automating in a software development pipeline from source control.
Excellent interpersonal skills required
Leadership and mentoring experience required
Strong Project Management Skills
Ability to work and communicate with stakeholders and senior executives
