Medline is seeking a Lead Software Engineer to join our software development team. This pivotal role involves leading and designing solutions for various business initiatives. The ideal candidate is self-motivated, pleasant to collaborate with, and constantly seeks to improve and expand their skills. As a Lead Software Engineer, you will mentor and guide junior developers while also contributing to the technical direction of our projects.

Responsibilities:

• Lead the design, code, testing, deployment, and support of software for our business and commerce needs.

• Troubleshoot and resolve complex software defects.

• Conduct code reviews and ensure adherence to established coding standards.

• Facilitate design meetings with users, management, and architects.

• Analyze production issues to determine root cause and provide resolution strategies.

• Drive continuous improvement of software development practices.

• Mentor and guide junior developers.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality solutions.

• Stay current on industry trends and best practices.

• Develop a deep understanding of Medline's business domain and apply this knowledge to all software development activities.

• Comply with all company policies, procedures, and governmental regulatory mandates.

High Proficiency in the Following:

• Front-end or back-end development (minimum 5 years professionally)

• Full-stack development (specifically with Java, JavaScript and MV* Framework, such as Angular - 2 year min for each)

• Cloud and container-based development and deployment (Azure preferred).

• Object-oriented design principles and patterns

• SpringBoot

• RESTful web service development

• JUnit, Mockito, PowerMock.

• Karma or Mocha

• JSON, XML

• SQL

• Git

• Experience with at least 1 API design tool (Swagger, Apiary, OpenAPI, etc)

• Agile Scrum

• HTTP protocol

Desirable Experience (Not Required):

• Docker, Kubernetes, Helm.

• SOAP, OData, GraphQL.

• OAuth 2.0, Ping Federate.

• J2EE (JSP, Servlet, EJB).

• JPA, Hibernate, Spring Data.

• Splunk

• 4-year degree in Computer Science or a related field.
