We are looking for a Lead Software Engineer (Search) to join our team!

About the Role

• Builds new features (including a search function) and future optimization for our flagship application, impacting over $3 million users globally.

• Oversees the architecture, coding, research, and decision on high-impact projects.

• Mentors and supervises less senior developers to enable them to effectively arrive at solutions.

• Ramps up on new complex problems and code bases to the point of significant project contribution.

• Is the go-to expert for complex areas of our systems.

• Has a deep understanding of the technology used to develop our products.

• Expertly helps the team to more effectively work with Product Management and other stakeholders to refine loosely defined requirements into robust demonstrable applications.

About You

• 6+ years building high performing/data intensive applications running in the Cloud

• Expertise creating search functions using ElasticSearch (or similar technologies)

• Development experience in Golang

• A solid grasp of database fundamentals and best practices (ideally experience with SQL, NoSQL and full-text search)

• Experience designing, creating high-quality microservices

• Experience delivering cloud native applications to market using Amazon AWS (like EC2, S3, SQS, SNS, Kinesis, ELB, Lambda).

• Experience working in a fully automated CI/CD environment, including Infrastructure as Code (Terraform or similar)

• Experience with containerization and container orchestration

• Experience implementing and supporting APIs, used by other internal teams

• Partner with business and technology team members, to understand requirements and translate them into value-add technology solutions

• Willingness to learn and expand skills and repertoire

• A positive mindset, team-oriented, results driven, and organized

• Experience mentoring other team members

• Strong written and verbal communication skills

Base pay offered will depend upon qualifications and other operational considerations. Base pay is one part of Bluebeam's Total Rewards program, which seeks to compensate and recognize employees for their work. Most sales positions are eligible for commission under the terms of an applicable commission plan, while most non-sales position are eligible for a bonus under the terms of an applicable bonus plan. The base pay range for this position is: $149,400 - $205,275
