Role Summary/Purpose

The IT Developer Lead II will lead the implementation of custom FieldCore business applications including management of the ServiceNow application platform. This person will work independently with business stakeholders in gathering requirements, configure/develop cost-effective technology solutions which includes design, development, administration, and support.

Essential Function

  • Should be able to architect, design, deploy and maintain new ServiceNow applications to support current and future business needs

  • Build and customize ServiceNow - from collecting requirements, writing implementation plans, to coding and execution of those plans

  • Ability to design, develop, configure, test, deploy and support solutions/applications for the ServiceNow platform.

  • Should be able to demonstrate sound working knowledge of ServiceNow's core architecture and primary application modules such as Service Catalog, Incident, Problem, Change, Knowledge, and Self-Service Portal

  • ServiceNow platform administration including research and deploy new releases, patches and/or enhancements into the ServiceNow environment.

  • Contribute to the creation of custom reports and dashboards as well as generating KPIs and supporting metrics

  • Skilled in developing solutions that require good knowledge of JavaScript and Glide

  • Ability to work independently with business stakeholders in gathering requirements, configure/develop cost-effective technology solutions and provide support

  • Ability to independently code/develop new technical solutions, support them and maintain any of existing business applications

  • Manage and lead IT Applications Development team to implement business solutions and develop Proof of concepts to Stakeholders

  • Manage daily operations of an IT Application Development area majorly focused on BPM based technologies

  • Coordinate systems design, coding, testing, troubleshooting, production, and maintenance activities with the development team

  • Communicate with management, vendors, and users on an ongoing basis to ensure priorities and requirements are being met

  • Contribute to and implement standards and changes to systems and processes

  • Must be able to effectively prioritize and assign work, mentor and monitor progress of the team to meet deadlines.

  • Must be able to effectively communicate with both technical and non-technical users at all levels of an organization

  • Must demonstrate a commitment to continuous learning of new skills to keep abreast of industry trends and state of the art technology

  • Perform other duties as assigned


  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science/Engineering or other related field of study

  • 8+ years applicable experience and demonstrated success/knowledge

  • 1+ years of experience in working with ServiceNow HR Suite.

  • 3 + years of ServiceNow administration and development experience, including experience with the Service Catalog module and developing custom and scoped applications.

  • 2+ years of experience with development and configuration of workflows, business and email rules, catalog items and ACLs.

  • 1+ Years of experience in developing ServiceNow Integrations like creating RESTful APIs, integrating with 3rd party APIs using (REST / SOAP / SSO) is required.

  • 2+ years of experience creating request forms, developing integration with external systems, and implementing security (including Access Control Lists).

  • 2+ years of coding/development experience in any programming languages like Java, JavaScript, etc. is required.

  • 1+ years of coding / development experience working in web skills (Angular JS, Twitter Bootstrap, HTML, XML, CSS) is desired.

  • 2+ years of experience in Oracle/MS SQL database skills (SQL, PL/SQL, TSQL) is desired.

  • Experienced in utilizing Agile/Scrum methodologies including creation of stories, delegation of tasks, implementing scrum is a plus.

  • Must be a dynamic and self-starting individual who is able to work independently or as part of a team with minimal guidance and direction

Desired Characteristics

  • Technology certifications in ServiceNow is a major plus

  • Exposure to Salesforce.com will be an added advantage

  • Experienced in utilizing Agile/Scrum methodologies including creation of stories, delegation of tasks, implementing scrum

  • Must be a dynamic and self-starting individual who is able to work independently or as part of a team with minimal guidance and direction

  • Excellent communication skills and strong interpersonal skills

Professional registration as an engineer in Florida may substitute for one year of experience. An advanced degree in engineering or business may substitute for one-year experience. Bachelors of Science degree in Electrical Engineering from an ABET accredited institution is required. Advanced degree in engineering or business preferred. Essential Functions * Prepares or supervises preparation of transmission system protection designs and settings. * Oversees all Transmission devices applicable to the NERC PRC and CIP standards and ensures the devices/settings are being reviewed and meeting the compliance requirements * Reviews and verifies transmission protection schematics and relay elementary diagrams. * Develops System Protection standards. * Participates/evaluates bid proposals, recommends apparent successful bidder and assembles presentation data for Executive Staff and Board action as required. * Plans, organizes and supports the work of departmental personnel to maximize performance and individual development to ensure effective teamwork and employee contribution in the fulfillment of departmental and Cooperative goals and objectives within budget. * Provides input to annual performance reviews and sets goals for assigned personnel, in coordination with their Manager and/or Director. * Approves work orders, purchase orders, budgeted items and general administrative items, within limitations of budget, policies and procedures. * Other duties as applicable to the position or as assigned.
