The commodities technology teams form part of the wider Macro technology team which covers Rates, FX and the Commodities businesses. This role falls within the Commodities technology team supporting the build out and ongoing maintenance of the electronic trading desk. The desk is focused on providing both internal and external electronic trading solutions to voice desks, sales and Citi clients.

Responsibilities Description

Senior E-Trading Developer role reporting in to the Global Head of Electronic Trading technology. The Senior E-Trading Developer is a talented individual who is passionate about electronic trading, has experience building pricing / hedging systems.

The role includes the design and development of the electronic trading system and its various components as directed by the head of electronic trading. This includes design and architecture of components as well as implementation of these designs.

The candidate will additionally be responsible for the following tasks:

  • Provide thought leadership in terms of the design, usage and implementation of the platform to the team members.

  • Provide guidance to junior team members regarding design and implementation of components of the system.

  • Perform design and code reviews

  • Contribution to the architecture, design and code base of the e-trading platform

  • Assist with year-end reviews of team members

  • Assist with the technical inputs into the project management of the product.

  • Assist with the co-ordination of hardware build-outs, integration into third parties (such as exchanges, etc.) and other key integration points.

  • Track key technology trends within Citi and ensure these trends are followed where appropriate, this will also include feedback when they are not or should be improved.

  • Continue to track and feedback to the team industry trends as they evolve.

Requirements:

  • Ability to work independently and provide direction to self and others

  • Ability to code in both Python and C++

  • Demonstrated ability to design and deliver solutions in an electronic trading environment using the above technologies.

  • Experience with delivery and design of electronic trading systems.

  • Ability to express architecture, design, and implementation decisions with appropriate justifications.

  • Experience with graph based evaluation engines.

  • Ability to pick up new ideas and technologies quickly

Minimum Education

Tertiary education with a focus on computing or mathematical subjects.
