Job Description

The Lead SOC Analyst is a senior level position within the security operations center. The SOC Lead provides leadership and mentorship to a team of security analysts delivering best in class security monitoring for our customers as part of Motorola Solutions Cyber Security operations. The Lead SOC Analyst is responsible for day to day operations of the SOC including establishing and measuring team performance and serves as a technical escalation point. The SOC Lead develops, maintains, and implements relevant policies and procedures to protect the security and privacy of information from intentional or unintentional damage. The Lead SOC Analyst is responsible for advanced security monitoring through triage, investigation, communication and reporting. The Lead SOC Analyst will provide expert level analysis and will be responsible for providing guidance for complex customer inquiries. What you'll do:

• Lead the Security Operations team to ensure successful delivery of Motorola's cyber security expertise to the customer

• Establish relationships with stakeholders and maintain positive relationships

• Be leader in the growth of the SOC and drive integration of new products

• Be a technical and thought leader driving automation, analytics, and operational efficiencies

• Promote innovation and forward thinking throughout the organization

• Lead monthly service reviews and other forums to ensure that operational services and issues are managed successfully

Experience Needed:

• Experience developing, implementing, and maturing SOC/CIRT teams (i.e. MSSP)

• Experience reviewing and coordinating SOC planning based on operational metrics

• Familiarity with cutting-edge security technologies such as Zero-Trust Network Access, Password less Authentication, Artificial Intelligence, Endpoint Detection and Response, and Extended Detection and Response (XDR)

• Expert level experience with SIEM & EDR tools

• Solid understanding of the security landscape, including prevalent threats, existing technologies, and modern security architectures.

• Previous experience in collaborating with management in developing technical direction, as well as assessing reasonable objectives and timelines

• Proficient with scripting for task automation (e.g. Bash, Python)

• Good written and oral communications skills

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science/Information Technology/Information Security or related experience

• 5+ years experience in a DevSecOps, Security Operations, or similar role

• Certifications (GSEC, Network+, GCED, GCIA, OSCP)

Basic Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science/Information Technology/Information Security or 5 + years of technical security experience experience

• Bilingual, able to speak and communicate in Spanish

• Must be able to obtain government security clearance
