ABOUT THE POSITION

The Lead for Search Engine Optimization will lead best in class strategies and flawlessly manage, execute, and optimize Organic Search campaigns from conception through to the analytics and optimizations. This role will be responsible for leading assigned accounts and projects inside of the agency's Organic Search organization. You are responsible for leading client engagements and driving search success and results working in an integrated team of agency resources. This role will work with internal cross-departmental teams to evolve the Agency's execution of Organic Search, ensuring the collective success of the agency and our customers.

Client communication is also a key aspect of this role. This individual must communicate with various Clients effectively and seamlessly, regardless of their sophistication with Organic Search, and translate the Agency's campaign strategy, objectives, and goals into a language that each Client can understand and passionately endorse.

Day to day responsibilities will include: strategy recommendations and insights across assigned Organic Search accounts, the oversight of daily optimizations across these accounts and the adoption of Organic Search recommendations with Clients.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Crafts and concepts Client's Organic Search strategy on assigned accounts; oversee execution and deployment of all recommended Organic Search tactics.

  • Responsible for the strategic oversight and management of Client campaigns and effectively articulating campaign results, regardless of Client sophistication of Organic Search.

  • Works with the Client Partnership teams to merchandise campaign results, ensuring that Clients understand the impact that Organic Search has on their business and incremental lead generation.

  • Begins to build a working knowledge of all Paid Media, beyond Organic Search (ie: PPC, display).

  • Understands the relationship between Organic Search and other Traditional and Digital Media channels and works cross departmentally with these teams and the Analytics team to extract insights that will drive incremental Organic Search leads, ultimately achieving better success for assigned Organic Search Clients.

  • Maintains and executes best practices and integrates innovation and technology as available across Organic Search campaigns.

  • Experience working on local SEO strategies for multi-location businesses, including both service area businesses and brick and mortar stores.

  • Stays up to date with industry changes and SERP trends, leading monthly brainstorm sessions to help introduce innovative tactics that align with a client's long term strategic vision.

  • Knowledge of Organic Search software, including SEMRush, Screaming Frog, Ahrefs, and Moz.

REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor degree in Marketing, Advertising or another related field.

  • At least 3-5 years of work experience in Organic Search.

  • Strong experience working an integrated agency team.

  • Well-honed communication skills across both the internal teams and Clients/audiences.

  • Ability to think strategically and identify and resolve problems in a Client-centric environment.

  • Extensive experience monitoring, analyzing, optimizing, and communicating campaign results.

  • Strong problem solving skills.

  • Competency in the Google Suite of Products (ie: Google Tag Manager, Google Analytics, Google Data Studio, Google Optimize).

  • Experience working with financial data and budgets.

  • Microsoft Office applications, including well practiced Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint skills; above average Excel skills are required for this position.

  • High level of integrity, autonomy, and self-motivation.
