The Lead Sales Operations Consultant is responsible for managing the analytics and reporting for a specific sales region and / or sales This person will interface with the sales team, customer counterparts and executive management to report and analyze specific goals set for that region branch. / customer.
Consults and may be directly tied to a sales director in a business consultant role for sales operations.
Will be involved in compensation related reporting, analysis, investigation and training for sales teams.
Will work with sales directors, managers and reps to understand sales recognition processes and assist with reconciliation of booked sales versus recognized sales versus compensated sales.
Negotiates cross segment account and quota transfer.
Manages billing account assignments and Salesforce.com alignment.
Works with Salesforce reporting and dashboards, and understands revenue data, sales funnel, and opportunities.
Provides assistance with ad hoc reporting and other team initiatives.
Serves as a liaison for the new hire during the on boarding process.
Makes recommendations to enhance productivity, sales revenue and collaboration between human resources, operations, sales, marketing, product and finance.
Guides others in problem solving.
Ensures sales operations policies/practices are reviewed/revised as technology and business conditions change.
Develops/delivers training to sales force and other sales facing tools.
Creates very complex reports and account analysis.
Makes recommendations to Leadership.
Performs other duties as needed in support of the sales organization.
Bachelor's degree in Business or related field; or 5 years hands on experience in Telecommunication Sales or Project Management; or 5 years of other related experience with reporting and analytics.
Intermediate to advanced skills in Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint
Strong ability to use critical thinking skills to analyze and solve problems.
Be business professional and have experience interacting with all levels within the sales organizations including vice presidents, directors, managers, and individual contributors
Ability to handle multiple projects at one time and be very detailed-oriented
Must be able to facilitate various meetings and have the ability to state objectives, keep members on tasks, focus on next steps, and determine action plans
Project Management experience
Expert skills in utilizing Excel.
Experience with Sales Force.com
Experience working in a sales environment
