Here at Sage, we are seeking candidates for a Lead Development Specialist position.

This role will make outbound calls for all products across the Small, Medium, Large and Accountant segments to close quality opportunities for sales. Strong verbal and written communication skills are required to identify the business needs of prospects to translate into opportunities across the Sage product portfolio. This role will require frequent and heavy telephone and PC keyboard use, social media presence, and agility. The right candidate is a quick learner who is resourceful and who has the drive to succeed in bringing in and qualifying business leads. Key ResponsibilitiesPosition Overview

Manage Leads Engage with inbound prospects to identify the business needs and translate those to into opportunities for sales based on the best fit solutions.

Communicate value

  • Become a product expert. Learn our product inside and out and be able to articulate the features, benefits and most importantly the value to your prospects.

Refine process

  • Measure performance, determine what's working and what isn't, and help to refine our lead management and sales processes. You will provide feedback to the sales team and marketing team to help ensure we're reaching the right people at the right organizations.
  • Identifies the prospect's business needs and requirements

  • Promotes and positions the strategic & tactical values of solution offerings

  • Transfers opportunity knowledge to sales contact

  • Schedule concrete next steps with the sales rep, typically a discovery meeting or product demonstration

  • Research, qualify, manage and track leads and related sales activities in Salesforce

  • Develop internal positive working relationships with marketing, sales reps, and sales engineers

  • Top-notch listening, communication and presentation skills with the ability to creatively sell to all decision-making levels

  • Team-player mentality thrives in a team atmosphere

  • Ability to make 50+ outbound calls and send out multiple targeted emails daily

Preferred:

  • Experience utilizing CRM systems, preferably Salesforce

  • 2+ years of successful quota-carrying sales experience

  • Working understanding of the SaaS industry

Technical / professional qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree

The Responsibilities * Outbound calling and emailing to identify, nurture, and transform marketing-qualified leads into sales-ready leads * "Pitching" potential clients on the value of a product demo * Successfully overcoming prospective customer objections * Scheduling SharpSpring demos with the Sales team * Tracking lead activity in SharpSpring's CRM * Use of video recording software to make interactive videos to personalize outreach with prospective partners * Analyzing and reporting on the success of efforts to turn marketing-qualified leads into opportunities * Maintaining accurate and up-to-date records of potential clients for effective follow-ups * Scheduling and partaking in callbacks to assess and understand the potential client's needs/desires, discuss marketing automation and educate them on SharpSpring * Providing campaign feedback to the Marketing team to improve lead quality * Consulting with and updating team supervisor on progress and action plans * Attending team meetings aimed at growth, understanding, and collaboration * Strategy planning, both individually and as a team The Person * Cold-calling and/or B2B sales experience preferred * SAAS selling experience preferred * Minimum of two years sales experience preferred * Demonstrated sales aptitude; assertive, persistent, good listener, self-motivated and coachable * High comfort level communicating on the phone * Excellent oral and written communication skills * Well organized and flexible with effective time-management skills * Goal-oriented, able to meet and exceed monthly goals * Knowledge of CRM or marketing automation software preferred * Self-confident with the ability to work well in a fast-paced environment * Able to work independently as well as on a team * Bachelor's in business administration, marketing, or related field preferred * Ability to be a brand ambassador for SharpSpring: Be inspiring, ambitious and fun!
