Lead Rotating Equipment Engineer - Primoris Engineering

Primoris Engineering is searching for a talented Lead Rotating Equipment Engineer in our expanding Tyler, TX office.

Key Responsibilities/Accountabilities:

• Responsible for specifying, bid tabulations, requisitioning, reviewing designs/drawings, supporting requisitions, witness testing, and troubleshooting for simple and complex machines and package systems.

• These machines include API and ANSI centrifugal pumps, instrument air compressors, firewater pump packages, API 617 and 618 compressors, fans, turbines and other packaged equipment for the chemical, gas and refining industries.

• Engage directly with other engineers, designers, clients, and process licensor to resolve technical concerns.

• Mentor junior mechanical engineers.

• May be assigned as the mechanical engineering lead depending on size and complexity of project.

• Assume responsibility for cost, schedule, quality, and budget.

Basic Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree of Science in Mechanical Engineering required.

• 10 years' experience in Mechanical Engineering required.

• Familiar with ASME, API, and ANSI codes and standards.

• Experience with seal flush plans, lube oil systems, oil mist packages, pump, fan, and compressor calculations, and materials of construction required.

• Mechanical experience with other major equipment and specialty items a plus.
