Lead, Respiratory Therapist (Rcp)

Scripps Health Administrative Services supports our five hospitals and 19 outpatient facilities, which treat half a million patients annually through 2,600 affiliated physicians.

This is a benefitted, full time position four days per week with a 10 hour shift that starts at 7:30am. No weekends

The Lead will oversee six RCPs and manage their schedule to three locations for pulmonary testing (Anderson Medical, RB and Torrey Pines). The Lead will also go to these locations at times. Other duties include:

• Order supplies and lab equipment

• Assists team with training, onboarding and with competencies.

• Performs patient assessments and care tasks, including emergency procedures and medication administration.

• Educates patients and documents patient interactions.

• Practices infection control.

• Contributes to the team as necessary to ensure quality patient care within own scope of practice.

Required Qualifications:

• Current California RCP license

• Current American Heart Association Healthcare Provider BLS certification

• Current American Heart Association Healthcare Provider ACLS certification

• Excellent interpersonal skills. Enjoys working with the public.

• Must be able to speak, read, and follow instructions in English.

• Technically competent in the department skills inventory. Computer literate.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Prefer three or more years as a RCP with acute care experience.

• Leadership experience

• Graduate of one- or two-year AMA School of Respiratory Care

Position Pay Range: $41.30-$61.27/hour
