Requirements:
Previous experience in Respiratory Therapy required.
High School Diploma or GED required; college degree preferred.
Successful completion of BLS and ACLS required within the first 7 days of hire date.
PALS required within the first 30 days from hire date (all American Heart Association or American Red Cross).
Port Charlotte; NRP within the first 6 months from hire date.
Florida Respiratory Therapy License required.
About the Job:
The Respiratory Therapist is responsible for direct/indirect patient care in ECC, Cardiac and Med/Surg floors and other areas as assigned. Promotes and maintains patient care through the implementation of physician's orders and department protocols; assisting with special procedures, ventilator management, performing arterial cannulation, Supervisor, Charge Nurse, Staff Nurse and Physician are informed of all patient care issues/problems in a timely manner.
