Across multiple energy-intensive industries, the business provides customers with end-to-end product and service solutions that help ensure the reliability and protection of their electrical infrastructure.The Lead Electrical Engineer will be responsible for the preparation and submittal of drawing packages based on customer specifications for electrical equipment and controls. You will work with project managers and customers, within defined parameters to make decisions, apply concepts, & resolve issues through immediate action or short-term planning.

Senior professionals ( > 5 years of work experience)


Typical duties/responsibilities may include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Interpret customer and sales specifications and translate into instructions for manufacture

  • Ensure that we meet customer requirements, quality, safety, and cost objectives

  • Prepare, submit and release drawing packages based on customer specifications

  • Generate cost estimates and attend customer meetings

  • Design custom control circuits within defined safety limits

  • Maintain planned output to meet schedule and high levels of engineering quality

  • Support manufacturing in resolution of issues and engineering change notices

  • Interface with customers, regional sales and field installation services personnel

  • Promote open communication and maintain effective working relationships

  • Work cross-functionally with multiple teams

  • Plan, organize, lead and execute multiple small and large projects simultaneously

  • Generate ideas for process improvement opportunities and execute small projects

  • Coordinate scheduling of orders to level load and set achievable delivery dates

  • Evaluate incoming orders to estimate proper engineering and manufacturing cycles


Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Physics, Mathematics, or Computer Science from an accredited college or university & 8 years relevant industry experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with motor control centers (MCC) or switchboard (SWBD) products

  • Experience designing controls and communication circuits, including industry communication protocols, programmable logic controllers and human machine interfaces.

  • Demonstrated analytical skills with ability to analyze and resolve problems

  • Demonstrated ability to interpret schematics, & technical specifications

  • Ability to work independently, or as part of a team

  • Ability to welcome change and work in fast paced environment

  • Strong oral and written communication skills

  • Strong interpersonal and leadership skills

  • Project management skills with ability to plan, execute & document programs / projects

  • Computer skills in Office and experience with software tools such as EPLAN and CREO

  • Strong customer focus

  • Self-starter, ability to work with minimal supervision

  • Willingness to support off-shift manufacturing teams

The right candidate will have strong organizational skills, ability to work well with others and promote team work within the department. Candidates should be production oriented and have leadership skills that show that they can accomplish tasks efficiently. This position is a temporary role with our organization and will provide an opportunity for a team member to acquire and learn a different skill set. POSITION HOURS: 2nd Shift: 3:45-12:15 a.m. Monday-Friday Work hours may vary some week to week and will involve occasional weekend work during peak seasons. RESPONSIBILITIES: * To train new hires within the Screen Printing Department. * Distribute work and ongoing training to Screen Printers. * Prep orders to be screened and organize by production date to ensure we are meeting our deadlines. * Allocate employees in Screen Printing appropriately in order to meet production and ship dates. * Review and sign off on orders being printed to ensure accuracy and quality. * Order departmental working supplies for the department. * Responsible for keeping work area safe and clean on a daily basis. * Be a resource for questions and guidance to the Screen Printing team members. * Assist with all duties asked of the Supervisor or Manager within the Screen Printing Department including being able to perform all duties expected of a Screen Printing Team Member REQUIREMENTS: * Must enjoy and be able to use hands and wrists and stand for extended periods of time. * Must be able to bend, stoop and kneel. * Prior Screen Printing experience is a must and prior lead experience is preferred. * Must have high attention to detail and a very high focus on quality and accuracy. * Must be able to distinguish between colors. * Must be able to lift, push, pull and carry up to 30 lbs. * Must have basic computers skills. * Must have a proven track record of punctuality with minimal absenteeism. * Proven ability to work efficiently and direct work to others with minimal supervision from the Department Supervisor. * Must be proficient in English in order to be considered for this position.
