The Lead Release Automation Engineer will apply advanced automation skills in establishing and maintaining a continuous integration and continuous deployment environment in a mixed on-prem and cloud environment. The position will lead the enhancement of the release build, integration and deployment process of internal developed software and COTS as a senior member of the Release Automation Group. All duties are to be performed in accordance with departmental and MGM Resorts policies, practices and procedures.

  • Lead and develop the CI and CD environment.

  • Lead the development of the CI/CD tools.

  • Continuously improve automation scripts.

  • Manage and support QA and PreProd server environment in conjunction with the COTS Release Management group.

  • Direct Release deployment activities between multiple departments.

  • Evaluate and make recommendations to the Release Management team with automation knowledge and scripts for COTS software.

  • Manage relationships between Development, Test, OPS and PMO on a daily basis.

  • Lead and evaluate progress to ensure releases are delivered on time and within expectations.

  • Other work related duties as assigned.

Required:

  • Bachelor's Degree focused in Information Technology or equivalent education and experience.

  • At least 5 years of technical experience as Release Automation Engineer (including design and estimation) or equivalent experience; which includes, at least 2 years of experience in software development may substitute here.

  • Advanced experience with Jenkins and workflows in a mixed on-prem and cloud environment. Experience with other build orchestration tools is acceptable.

  • Experience that includes customizing Subversion and Git/GITHUB.

  • Experience that includes Docker container technologies.

  • Experience with Ansible (Windows and Linux).

  • Experience that includes cloud technologies (either AWS or Azure).

  • Excellent customer service skills.

  • Have interpersonal skills to deal effectively with all business contacts.

  • Professional appearance and demeanor.

  • Work varied shifts, including weekends and holidays.

  • High school diploma or equivalent.

  • Able to effectively communicate in English, in both written and oral forms.

Preferred:

  • Previous experience in a similar resort setting.

The Sr Manager Release Management will lead the day-to-day operations for the release management team by design, development, re-use and institutionalization of the enterprise releases, specialization and discipline into all products being developed internally and externally in support of the MGMRI business. This position provides release management specialization expertise which includes right balancing of methodologies, procedures and practices to ensure the release up any version of both commercial off-the-shelf packaged solutions, and in-house developed solutions. All duties are to be performed in accordance with department and MGM Resorts International policies, procedures and legal requirements. At all times, the goals and interests of the department, division and all MGM Resorts International properties (individually and collectively) must be upheld and preserved. * Manages release tactics and activities in accordance with policies and standards. * Drives a successful release program on an enterprise wide and project basis being responsive to schedule and quality requirements. * Ensures that all direct reports and their teams are trained in the skills and tools of release management, change management, project management and other required competencies of the release function. * Partners with IT leaders and the business to develop a Release Calendar that best meets business needs. * Ensures the installations into the corporate environment or host systems in accordance with the Release Calendar. * Ensures appropriate version control of all production applications installed on servers or host systems. * Ensures proper configuration of storage, operating systems and utilities on various platforms relating to specific application pre-requisites. * Drives product readiness and release decisions. * Ensure adherence to Change Management process, including completion of all forms and documentation of the configuration environment. * Partners with client groups to ensure that the release strategy is fully. * Effectively communicates information to IT groups when a system goes into production, including system description, location, software levels and data archive requirements. * Recommend server reallocations where appropriate. * Performs other work-related duties as assigned and/or required. Required: * Bachelor's degree in information technology, Information Systems. Computer Science, Computer Engineering or a related field; or combination of equivalent working experience and education. * At least 6 years of experience in technology leadership focused in release management and/or application development. * Previous experience with technical Change Management processes. * Excellent customer service skills. * Able to lead and mentor a team. * Have interpersonal skills to deal effectively with all business contacts. * Professional appearance and demeanor. * Work varied shifts, including weekends and holidays. * Able to effectively communicate in English, in both written and oral forms.
